I have some (not the same make) and in the box it says it lowers the noise by 30db

... how? Might be a good deal for noise insulation or to stop water getting in your ear canals, but can't think of a reason why it would help with the pressure changes whilst on a plane...

you can buy special ones from Boots that have a spiral design called Flight Earplugs for £4.49, stops sudden air pressure getting into your ear fast - but they never worked for me. I always suffered from ear pain after a flight ....and then after speaking to an ear specialist - I tried this and it works GREAT !!! take one Sudafed Decongestant pill before you board a flight. Something to do with opening up the sinus and releaving pressure. I dont know - but it works for me and Ive read it works for others online ( google it )
