£29.99 elsewhere that I could find where you could collect from a store and not have to wait for an inconvenient delivery (I struggle with post).

Can collect at store for the web price if you order online, or its reported to be £14.67 in store.

I bought two, very impressive. Sleek and carry case even included!!!

PS. Forgot to mention for the non-technical people 2.5" Hard Disk Drives are those sized for laptops. (I had a few hanging around.)

If you want a 3.5" for 'normal' HDD you will need to pay web £17.60 (or instore £19.56)

IMO that's really quite expensive for a 2.5" external enclosure.

Have a look on Ebay - there are lots about half that price....e.g. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38.l1313&_nkw=2.5%22+external+enclosure&_sacat=See-All-Categories

Sorry...

Ok I am fed up of my posts going sub-zero. Surely there is nothing wrong with my post so why am I sub-zero now already? Is there a technical fault with the website?!!!

If you read my post "...I could find where you could collect from a store and not have to wait for an inconvenient delivery (I struggle with post)...." this is why I find it a good deal.

Also, people need to be aware that nowadays SATA drives are more common than the older IDE connection [which this PCW 'deal' has]

You can even buy ones now which have the choice of either in the same enclosure. e.g. http://*********.co.uk/2-5-SATA-IDE-TO-SATA-USB-2-EXTERNAL-HDD-ENCLOSURE-CASE_W0QQitemZ260320213739QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Collectables_HardDriveEnclosures_RL?hash=item260320213739&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

Look, if you've got some bits hanging around then it is a good deal. Period. I wanted some extra storage, saw this and thought £13.20 was great for me to create an external HDD from not much. Sure other engineers would agree. I admit not everyone has spares lying around but I am a hoarded.

Sorry, I do apologise

I missed that bit in your post.

Please forgive me.

You might find it a good deal, but this is a site for bargain hunters. I think most members would rather pay half that price (or less) and wait a few days.

I agree that it isn't a bad price for local collection, but for a 2.5" enclosure it is a lousy deal. I don't think you should expect any heat.

I don't give a **** about heat anymore as said in my previous deal its just a joke. I post now in the hope deals work for some.

This is a well made item and is worth the price. In the past I have had rubbish 2.5 and 3.5 enclosures from a number of cheap suppliers and I have found a decent one at a bargain price.

My point is not waiting a few days, my point is I can never get the post if it doesn't come by Mr Postie as I am not home in 'office hours' so I end up with repeated failed deliveries and trips off to depots etc etc. I also have problems with the postal service in general to my house.

Good price for the enclosure, i paid about the same on amazon for the same one

The reason this has gone cold is becuase it is just not a great price, i know i got my 2.5" Hard Drive Enclosure for about a fiver, and as for the rest of your deals being voted cold, what are you on about? according to your public profile you have submitted 4 deals and this is the only cold one.

About £16 delivered from Microdirect, or £12ish in-store price.
So cheaper in-store or delivered from Microdirect, but yes, there's more PCW stores than Microdirect Somewhat counteracted due to none of my local PCW's showing any stock...
Probably best described as a fair deal rather than hot deal.
Post is still appreciated though.

Theres one for about 5 dollars (£3.40) on dealextreme. Downside is you have to wait for delivery, which can take about 2 weeks.
