I got one of these last week, awesome bit of kit. Went through a couple of old stumps like a hot knife though butter

Great fun too but do a bit of reading before you use it, search 'chainsaw kickback' on google, you'll have some respect for it after that if you do.

Add 'accidents' on the end of the search if you're not squeamish. Chainsaws are awesome but have RESPECT for them.

Just wot I was looking for. I love Toolstation. A lot of stuff cheaper than a trip to B&Q etc. and Free delivery over £10.:)

you'll need a new chain after a couple of trees - they go blunt fast and keep the oil topped up

The problem is that you're a bit limited with a 10 metre power cable - you need to find victims that can't run very fast

How do you sharpen them, as mine is very blunt? I thought i was going to have to buy a new chain (which would probably cost more than the chainsaw)

Toolstation is now my go to online store for tools and kit - can't beat their service and they've a good range of gear.
Good advice on the kickbacks. I would advise proper overalls over your clothes, gloves, goggles and boots. You shouldn't be wearing t shirt, shorts and trainers when you are using these things.

HeHeHe,

I'm thinking of taking into work and going 'postal' with it to 'eliminate' some problems. The thing is I'd have to keep unplugging it and plugging it back in to a nearer socket to my prey.

i had one of these............ it fell to bits whilst cutting a tree.

Silverline kit is warranteed for 3yrs if you register it on their web site, so for £25 you get 3yrs use which is pretty good value in my eyes.

"Chainsaws take no prisoners" so be sure to be careful when using this
#18
Website won't let me add it to trolley at the moment but can confirm it can be ordered over phone.

]Just been on to Toolstation an got the last chainsaw in stock @ 17.15hrs ,,sorry to all the others that misted out on a great price...

Anyone else ordered and checked status which says 'completed' yet not have it yet... (I ordered yesterday)

Also there is what appears to be a fed ex tracking link when I log into my account and click on the order... but it says 'The consignment you requested cannot be located. Please close this window and try again. If this problem persists please contact your website administrator.'

Is this normal for this website? First time I'm using this company didn't get an e-mail confirmation... just confirms it on my account when I log into the website?

Toolstation dont give email confirmations any more, dont know why, I did complain about it some months ago.
Mostly I have had good service from them, where they fail they are quick to put matters right

[COLOR=Olive]That's strange!!!

I've just phoned Toolstation up and the girl says they can't sell them anymore because of health and safety reasons. When I queried that people were buying them today she said the directive came out tonight. Are they covering up for a misprice or what?

goto the local hardware shop with your chainsaw and ask for a round file :-)

have a look onm the net about sharpening it , should be plenty of info there

Can't order online. Click to add one but doesn't appear in the trolley so must have expired.

Managed to bag one this morning - sent an email to Toolstation last night that I was unable to purchase the item on the website. Received a phone call this morning confirming that they it was no longer available on the website as they only had a handful of units left but she offered me one and processed it over the phone. Expecting delivery on Monday.
