It is heavier than they quote, according to reviews.
I ordered one on Saturday and it has been despatched by signed for carrier:-)

Some idiot expired it, just because they don't know how to use amazon, LOL
#14
I'm new to shovels. Would this be good enough to dispose of a human body? I'm looking for something portable but robust enough to do the job.
#15
Good deal. Ordered one can't go wrong at this price. Last winter I could not find one and in the end I bought for £7 a spade from homebase which is rubbish to clear snow.
#16
Cheers...now wait for Amazon to cancel the orders.
#17
sick cheap, I hope its not a case of you get what you pay for....
#18

This is ideal for hitting them on the head beforehand though as it has a larger surface area than a spade ;)

I didn't expire nor vote as I saw it at a different price to the OP... but perhaps linking to the correct price and seller may be useful in the future....?
#28

You'll have to confirm with the OP (as I ordered via the '7 new from £2.75' link) but I think it was correctly linked to amazon at the correct price, it was amazon's site that changed and said oos directly from the main link used (see the first posts in the thread then post #21)

Hope your right, but this is what amazon state on thier web site....Follow this link to read it directly

"What we do about mispricings

Despite our best efforts, a small number of the more than 1.5 million items in our catalogue are mispriced. Rest assured, however, that we verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures.

If an item's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and send you the item.

If a product's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will cancel your order and notify you of that cancellation.

No, you really need the digging spade from Amazon that was also on offer for a few minutes for £2 odd a couple of months ago.

Mine has been despatched this morning at £2.75, I ordered on Saturday, but waited to check they would honour it before I posted the deal

A shovel (or spade) that is shorter than normal will be hard work to use, partic if one is tall. And it won't really give an advantage for fitting in the average car boot.

shovels and spades are not the same thing.

Where did I suggest that a shovel is the same as a spade? If I said that 'A boy (or girl) might enjoy reading this book', would I be implying that a boy was the same as a girl? Pay attention please!

What I did say is that a short shaft on either tool can make it harder to use - backache etc.

Got my dispatch email today, surprised they honoured the price.
