Picked up one of these at toolstation. This one comes with a LCD readout and does 1000rpm to 3000 rpm
I have been car detailing for quite some time, and I am aware of the better polishers you can get on the market from Metabo, Makita etc
If you entend to use this for car polishing and detailing be warned: You can risk damaging your paint with these. For beginners its best to start with a random orbit polisher like the one from meguiars.
A bit noisy, but really decent for the price. I picked up some of the 5" polishing sponges for £3.39 also. I'll have some better ones for waxing but these are fine for compounding/cutting.
I am currently helping restore a old Fiat 500 for a wedding in August. Polished the bumper this morning and it was great!
