This was the Tooting branch. Hope it is national.

Yes i know you can order sim cards for 1p or free, but you have to wait for them to be delivered, if you want a cheap sim like i did and want to be able to use it instantly then this might help.

Calm down, u can pick up a free sim from the carrier's shops when you topup. Surely if someone's so desperate for a sim they won't actually care if it's 99p or 40p?

So U went to do an exchange at primark, U had a £1 of credit left, so U thought U would get a sim card ? Did u actually need one ? Or was it because u thought u should just buy one because it's such a bargain ?

My thoughts also. Except its not a bargain when you can get them free of charge from the network suppliers (instore and online), a waste of 40p. Sorry, but i don't see a "deal" here

Such a shame to see so many negative comments toward someone who is just trying to help others. Thank you for your post.

It was pointed out SIM cards are free (before the op was edited) then the op went on the super defence.
Take the criticism, don't take it personal and move on. Baiting people by getting all stroppy just encourages the dogpile.

Helping others how exactly? Encouraging them to spend money unnecessarily when you can get it free?
We are helping others by advising them this is a bad deal and offering free alternatives.
If the OP struggles to accept critisism them he/she will struggle in society
The point of this site is to save money

what's wrong with the free 1s you can have delivered to your house?

another reason to be defensive is, a 40p sim can save you junk mail, emails, phone calls. the free sims require a sign up and giving your details. not one to pick on anyone but at least this poster is having a go at posting. the amount of posts on here has declined over the years, a shame I think. There's plenty of cold posts from companies that aren't UK based like the rules were originally set out to be. gearbest and aliexpress were never allowed on here but now their deals at times go red hot. you can't even get a curly wurly for that now. ;)

It's a law here that 5p must be charged for all plastic bags unless used for hot food
They use paper bags n still charge 5p
I questioned it last time but then ended up having a fight with Mrs for fighting over 5p

Its not negative about the person. It's negative about the deal. This simply isn't a good deal. As for "helping others"... How does this help others??? It encourages them to purchase a SIM card for money, when three doors down the high street is probably a phone shop that'll give it out for FREE!! That's not helping. That's called a COLD deal.

You don't have to wait for postage if you walk down the high street and get a FREE SIM from a phone shop... This simply isn't a deal because these Sims are widely available for free in shops or by post.

You have been had Primark do not charge for paper bags. Was in there yesterday for some socks, didn't get as many as I thought I would at Xmas :(

Maybe a deal if someone wants a SIM card without giving their name and address etc.

Or a visitor wanting a UK SIM card for a holiday.
