A screen and sound system that will blow you away
Yesterday’s tiny screens and squeaky sound couldn’t do justice to all the great stuff you can experience on today’s HTC Desire HD. That’s why we’ve fitted the HTC Desire HD with a huge cinematic 4.3-inch display, Dolby Mobile and SRS virtual surround sound. Websites, videos, music, games and apps really rock on your HTC Desire HD.

Maps that never keep you waiting
Tired of waiting - and paying - as maps slowly download? Get there faster. The HTC Desire HD delivers maps with zero wait, zero dead spots and zero data roaming fees. Have trouble knowing which way to turn when using a map? Relax. Maps on the HTC Desire HD always point you in the right direction. Need an ATM, a gas station or a quick bite to eat? With HTC Desire HD all the top spots appear right on your home screen.

A phone you can't lose (well, not easily)
You’re likely to become very attached to your HTC Desire HD. That’s why we had the idea to bring the HTC Sense experience online. Can’t find your phone? Use HTCSense.com to show you that it’s under your sleeping cat. Worried you’ll miss something because you left it at home today? Use HTCSense.com to send and receive texts and to forward your calls to another number. Frantic about personal data on your phone that’s been lost or stolen? Log into HTCSense.com to quickly lock and wipe it remotely.

Capturing the moment
Until recently if you wanted quality images and video you had to carry both a camera and your phone. Not any more. We’ve added HD video recording and an 8MP, dual flash camera with built-in effects (it’s like being able to swap lenses and add filters on the fly). And we’ve made it a snap to share to YouTube or to your big screen TV via DLNA.

Both look good to me, although bear in mind the mocha is very dark anyway so there is little difference. If you're using a case you won't see any of it anyway due to the screen covering the whole of the front

Thanks for that. I'm feeling the black dhd over the mocha but if I do get the mocha, I don't wanna regret it.

Very good phone, one of only a few that runs Gun Brothers at full speed without any slowdown problems.

I have This phone and is brilliant 100% iphone killer but BEWARE battery life is poor ( Check google for reviews) and its also heavy in comparison the the iphone.
But BETTER camera, uses adobe flash unlike i phone, works if your hand is on the side of the phone when calling ;-) ,google market offers so so so so many free apps, pluss the new android ginger bread release is coming to this phone very soon
If your not an apple sheep then buy this phone its brilliant.

you could buy a new ipad1 for this price, still good tho

great phone but it is very big. Do not buy without seeing one first would be my advice.

It's a nice looking phone with an impressive list of features but a bit too big for my liking. I went for the normal HTC Desire in the end earlier this week for £180 less and I'm extremely happy with it. I'd say only pay the extra if a slightly better camera and larger screen size is that important to you

BIG SCREEN yes but if you want a smart phone for web browsing etc the big screen is needed, had a desire and now got the HD is so much easier for webpages not designed for mobile phones

But have a worse operating system, not being able to make phone calls and, IMO, a useless device since it's too big to fit in your pocket and you might as well buy a laptop.

    Also:

    1) Apple Haters will hate you
    2) Apple Fanboys will hate you for not buying an iPad 2.

    And this is 10X better.

I want one of these but I'm waiting for the next set of HTC phones to come out so that they drop the price of this one a bit more.

Very nice phone, its all about the web browsing on this handset, i think my iphone 4 may get sidelined (for now anyway)

Prefer the smaller HTC Desire, which I have. Also own the iPhone 4, which to me has a far superior OS and screen resolution than any Android phone.
