I looked at them a few days ago as they have Desire HD for about £330 plus delivery. Going by all research all their items come from Hong Kong, hence the huge delivery costs. Doing a 'whois' search came back with companies registered in Netherlands etc but marked as 'Does Not Accept Post?'

Looks a decent price if you're after this handset.

Desire HD is better phone for only 40 more (regular price). Looks like a good deal, but not a smart buy.

Bigger screen, faster CPU/GPU, more memory, higher resolution camera.
I have Bold 9700 as primary phone and have to say that keyboards are overrated. At first i was missing it, but now typing on screen is just as fast and phone is thinner. If screen is small it's hard to type, but with larger screens keyboard is a waste.

I'm torn at the mo between Desire/HD/Z. I've had a Hero previously and it was ok but died. I've been using a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro that I was given and it's great having an actual keyboard. So I'm interested in the Desire Z but does it really have a slower CPU and GPU?

I know that with all current generation highend smartphones you should expect to need to charge them every night, but from what I gather the HD can barely even see out 1 day.

HTC Desire models with specs:

I have two say that battery on Desire HD is nothing to be thrilled about. Will not last a day with moderate online usage. Seems to be OK for calls.
