No..it is actually 500 min with unlimited texts and data...used to be £15/month but been discounted to £10/month if you order before 12/10/2010. I have been on this tariff for 4 months at £15/month and when they reduced the charge to £10/month in september I phoned tesco and they applied the reduction to my account

It depends upon what the end user's actual usage is.

We recently brought 2 SIMS. Each on the Tesco £6 monthly contract by DD. We decided not to go with the £10 monthly deal. Both kids know the limits and so far (touches wood) have adhered to it.

Can't grumble at all. The coverage is better than previous coverage we used with the Asda PAYG SIMS (which I believe piggy-back T-Mobile).

If you saw Watchdog you should now realise that "Unlimited" is nothing of the sort. Look at the small print very closely for the "fair usage" terms.

I have 'unlimited' texts with 3 and its actually 3000. I think they set this figure and if you send more in a month they probably note it and then accuse you of not playing fair !!

Never got near the 3000 to be honest, so don't know how it works. But there's no way they would let you send 10,000 texts every month.

Same as 'unlimited' internet usage. Download 100gb every month and your ISP will warn you.

They're was an option at the end for parental settings including banning premium numbers and such. Not sure on a credit cap though. Sorry.

There is no link mate.
Only available in Tesco phone shops, and i think on the phone too, but i havent got the number...can anyone else assist with that?
#35
geaniuk,
In fact, if you go over the allocated 'free' minutes you will still be able to make calls but you will be charged 20p per minute. So just 20 mins over the 100 mins will cost you £4 by which time you might as well have got the £10 deal anyway, with 500 free mins and 500gb of data. Potentially on this £6 deal you could rack up a big bill if you're a talker. Might be good if you NEVER use more that 100 mins, but in my opinion, all the while that £10 deal is around, nothing comes close.

Everyone else in the world has been aware what 'unlimited' is likely to mean for ages. You Watchdog watchers & Daily Mail readers really do need to catch up.
#37
Do they take away the £6,00 at the end of the month even if you don't use up all the free minuites?
#38
yep. It's a pay monthly contract! If you want to pay for only what you use then pay as you talk is the other option but doesnt work out as such good value for most.
