Can't see these two Plusnet sim only deals posted so hope it's useful info, (seems worth a look but not as good as earlier deals)

Plusnet are offering double data to their Broadband customers, all 4g on 30 days rolling contract.

1GB data, 250 minutes, 500 texts, £5.00 pm

2GB data, 1000 minutes, Unlimited texts, £7.50 pm

(4GB data, 1500 minutes, Unlimited texts, £10.00 pm previously listed)

I've had their broadband for years without any problems and they use EE which is great in my area

WARNING... SECURITY ISSUE for PLUSNET mobile customers.

CERTAIN INCOMING CALLS will DISABLE further incoming calls. PLUSNET deny this is a SECURITY issue.

PLUSNET response:
"I've taken a look at your account and can see you've been advised the issue you've been experiencing since the bank called you is not something we can resolve, but will be fixed automatically in 12 - 24 hours

It's not that a call from the bank is causing your calls to be barred, it's that they are calling from short code which is causing a network error. I can only apologise for the inconvenience of this situation"

I can confirm what seaniboy said, calls from Lloyds/TSB/Halifax will block all incoming calls :S
I was curious so I tried it, and I can confirm it is still happening.

If this doesn't happen to other operators, how is the error NOT on Plusnet's side?
Going to call them to cancel the account tomorrow :S I was having high hope on them... sigh...

EE, Orange, T-Mobile also included, not sure about Asda etc, I did find a post about TalkHome Mobile that sounded very similar.

Does it mean Virgin Mobile also have the same issue?

I would assume so, the issue is with EE. I ported to TPO yesterday and today the issue remains temp and ported number disconnected, so it sits at EE server level. A PAC out will not sort the issue, a sim replacement works though - know for a fact on Orange & T-Mobile it does.

I have had to use a ID Mobile sim today. 7 days with no incoming calls or texts, on 2 networks Plusnet/TPO.

Horrendous, I emailed BT CEO and they passed it to EE, the Executive Office can't help as it's a Plusnet number LOL, absolute farce BT.
