SimCity (Download) - Amazon - £4.99

£4.99 @ Amazon
Seems to be a very good price based on other retailers, a good game to kill a few hours on.

I believe this is free on origin at the moment, or it might be simcity 2000

Sim City 2000 is free, this version is (was?) the same price as of yesterday on origin

Hmm probably about time to bite now. Yes it's the same price on Origin directly, but at least this way EA get a marginally reduced cut.

Still a massively disappointing game, but at least now it's cheap too (at least until EA close the servers when Sim City 6 comes out)

I got this from Origin for the same price the other day. Massively disappointed with the direction they took with this game, felt more like MySims than a Sim City game.

That's what you get for not looking more into these games without buying them.

No time is the right time to bite with this (I had a full refund on launch day and I still feel cheated). X)

On origin I think you get all the DLC so it's a better deal

I love the direction they took with this one. Makes a lot of sense to me. I'm a huge Sim City fan, have been since the very first one, and while I completely understand why many don't like the regionalised approach I find it quite fresh and an interesting challenge.

The one thing I didn't like was the online only play but that's been fixed. But having said that, playing online would probably be very interesting with some players having to focus on oil production, another building a Manhattan like cityscape and relying on jobs in other regions, etc etc.

Anyway, the real, bargain is the Origins deal that includes all DLC for about £12.50. Heat added to this though.

I would buy this if I was not forced to install origin. I already run steam which is ok since it connects friends, forums etc but having to install others like origin, uplay etc is off putting. I doubt it will ever come on steam only. Great price though.

I'd have to disagree, there was no challenge in the game at all for me. Infact I feel they dumbed the game down as is the way with everything from ea these days.
