Great price for a great album. I picked up Sons & Fascination in the sale as well for £4.99.

good price!

i prefer there older stuff, went down a storm when i saw them in newcastle last year. they've still got it, 2.5 hours live no breaks!

From this album to New Gold Dream they did no wrong in my book and then it started to go down hill.

I saw them live in the mid 80's at their peak and was pretty disappointed TBH.

Thanks OP for this......

Been looking for some of the older albums.

'sparkle in the Rain' will always be my fave.

New album is very good, a return to an older sound.

Off to seem them in London in December too.

New Gold Dream has to be their best album. There's not a bad track on it and it launched them into the stratosphere.

I first saw them in The Doune Castle in Glasgow in about 1980 and I think it was £1.50 to get in. Then saw them at sirocco studios in Kilmarnock when they were looking for a new drummer and Mike Ogletree was auditioning (I was there with a mate who was trying to book some studio time for his band, nothing to do with SM) ..... next thing you know they're superstars! New Gold Dream is my favourite closley followed by Sons & Fascination.

I'd go along exactly with your album choice. Love Song on Sons & Fascination is such a timeless track.
