Voted hot!

Simply Red are musical cancer. Even for free this constitutes bad value for money as the emotional distress caused by listening to the worst band humanity have ever produced will surely lead to therapy costs. Voted cold. Very, very cold.

Constructive first post.
PS: and great name!

I don't like Simply red either - they're not my bag.
It's a good deal for some though - wouldn't you agree??

As if I needed another reason to not buy the Mail... I wouldn't even wipe my poo hole on that paper for fear that I catch whatever disease it is that makes its readers unthinking bigoted morons.

my name is graeme and i like simply red :)

no i'm not gay

compared to some of the music of the time this was actually a good album :)

im on 22, and i have always liked the band. Grew up with parents playing it during dinner parties. Cant see anything wrong with it tbh, and my taste is very broad
#9
Bah! your all Ginga haters

(no i'm not ginga)

Thanks to the original post, ihave had at least 2 minutes of laughter reading everyone's comments about Simply ****.....er i mean Red, pmsl

Both me and one of my old ex's used to hate Simply Red with a passion. Didn't used to stop me cutting my nose off to spite my face though by turning Fairground on full volume whenever we were arguing, as it hurt her more than me...just.... :whistling:

good deal for those who like the mail & simply red, although I'd sooner chew off my own foot than have either of them it's all about personal taste

Of the time? That time being 1991, the year Nirvana's "Nevermind", OMD's "Sugar Tax", Pearl Jam's "Ten" and REM's "Out of Time" were all released. To suggest this is an example of what was good that year is bewildering to say the least.

funny comments, but then again its not cool to like Simply Red. Lay that aside for a minute, its a good album I think, not that I've listened to it for a very long time. And if you like them you will already have the album as its their high point. So I wouldn't say this was hot. Best thing the mail recently gave away has to be the classic movie "Flight of the navigator". But like others I am very put off by the fact that you can't actually read the Mail as its so awful.

simply red + mail on sunday...
that's like evil squared. evil to the power of evil.

it's like vomiting and then eating the vomit and vomiting that back out. vomit squared.

it's like boyzone doing a duet with celine dion.

This is Simply Red's finest album in the same way that a lethal injection is the "most humane" way to end a life.
#17
"His music's rubbish and he's a ginger"
#18
Mick Hucknall, the Ed Gein of the pop world ,voted hellishly hot.

LOL, ok a comment on the plus side. A good album but not their finest, will probs get it anyway for the CD collection.

Thanks to the OP.

I went to the dentist once, and they were playing Simply Red in the waiting room. I couldn't wait to get into the chair, it was much less painful.
#23
I vote this ultra hot.......as it gives me another reason not to buy this paper
#24
Actually, I thought this was a brilliant album! Not keen on the band but a truly great album!
Brilliant for listening to with the sun shining and driving along with the window down, taking it easy.

I am not too bothered about Simply Red ...............

But we can be jealous of Mr Hucknall ........

Being 'nothing special' consider whom he has dated! (ta Daily Mail, lol)

Hucknall seems to have had more than his fair share of sex. Actresses Catherine Zeta-Jones, Tracy Shaw and Martine McCutcheon, models Helena Christensen, Kathy Lloyd, Adriana Sklenarikova and Kristina Kumlin, dancer Marilyn Couvallon, DJ Lisa I'Anson and socialite Deirdra Murrey (Miss Dee) - he's said to have dated them all. Were the reports exaggerated? 'No, I'm guilty,' he says. "It's life's experience. I think it's searching for approval. Love me, admire me - something like that.

He's sold 45 Million albums (equivalent to 75% of the UK population)! and has been # 1 in America twice, not many UK musicians can say that ...... so he strikes a chord somewhere ...... even if it the wrong chord in the view of many!
#27
He's certainly #1 in some ways...
and #2 in most others!!!

:-D:-D:-D

Well FWIW, I like his music.

But then again, I'm really old.
