  Agree with Thrillhouse. I think the U2 episode was the 200th and that's a marker of when it was still watchable. It's been god awful for years and I've gone from loving Homer to wishing he'd just die!

  You can blame them as when a show starts to deteriorate as much as The Simpsons did you call it a day and look back on something you can be proud of. Instead Matt Groening ran the show into the ground just because he knows people will keep watching on the back of the shows reputation. It is still the greatest cartoon of all time for me, but I have lost a huge amount of respect for everyone still involved. Shame on them.
