This probably wont do well, it seems people are only after beer in the summer so my alcohol deals haven't done well. Anyway, this is a great whisky, with one of the best noses I've smelt and the finish is very good.

Nose: Malty with cereal/barley sweetness, buttery toast, wood shavings, hay and walnut.
Palate: Orange zest spiciness perks up a malty core of nuts, oak and toffee, hints of cut grass.
Finish: Oaky, rich with good length, some fruit lingers.

This is terrific value for a very good whisky. If you pick one up like I have, enjoy!

Also this price at Waitrose but this amazon is delivered to door.

Funnily enough, if you qualify for NUS discount, then it can be applied to this item, making it £20.90.

Great malt, great price - Heated.

Yup. A very nice drop. Heat from me. It is one of the often reduced brands that are very nicely drinkable Whisky, along with Aberlour. I just wish the Glenmorangies and Balvenies of this world would come down as often.

First sentence makes it seem like you're after the sympathy vote and maybe the previous deals you mention haven't done well because they're not good?

Heat given anyway.

Anybody know where too buy 12 year dalmore cheap(er)

I haven't seen Dalmore cheap for a long time, Its about £40 and the 15yr old is £50 so I usually go for the latter

Yeah, having a little look the best I can see is £38 which is a lot for a 12yr old standard. Sorry, can't really help there.

Np, I've not had the 12yr old so I have to go on what I'm told, which is the 15yr old is more of a sherry flavour, and the spices come through as you would expect a little stronger, but in short, if you like the 12, you'll like the 15yr old, whether the extra 10 pounds is worth it is dependent on each person and, while I would say yes, I know people who would say no go for something else, so in that light they are around the R/D of LFW flavour map posted on the first page so if you want to try something different, Aberlour 10 and Glenfiddich 15yr old are a good bet, both go on sale regularly as well and are aces!

Whisky not Whiskey :)

The spelling of whisky, or whiskey, differs geographically. As a rule, American and Irish prefer ‘whiskey’ and the Scots, Canadians and the rest of the world’s single malt makers prefer ‘whisky’. This originated during the 19th century. For in around 1870, Scotch whisky was of very low quality, much of it being distilled poorly in Coffey stills.

For exportation to America, the Irish distillers wanted to differentiate their product from the poorer Scotch whisky, thus they added the ‘e’ to mark the crucial distinction. Today, Scotch whisky has become one of the world’s greatest spirits, but the spelling still differs. On mass, Americans still spell their spirit with an ‘e’, though legally it is spelt ‘whisky’. A few distillers, Maker’s Mark and George Dickel for example, prefer the Scottish spelling, this is to be attributed to their Scottish ancestry.

Might like this also, only half bottles but £14 for a 'taster' isn't going to break the bank.

I have to say I think the op's right, there are some very fickle voters.
