Six Energy Saving Light Bulbs For 29p @ Morrisons

Morrisons have packs of 2 energy saving light bulbs on a "Buy One Get Two Free" offer (so 6 light bulbs for 29p). They have bayonet (& I think screw type) fittings available and different wattages available, I got some 11w (60w) & 20w (100w).

The packs are green, Morrisons branded and feature the energy savings trust recommended logo.

are these bright? Im sick and tired of these crappy alternatives. Im staying on normal bulbs till something is the same brightness.

That saying, I havent checked in the last year or so, so maybe things are different.

I've been trying to get 20 watt es in Morrisons for weeks now - maybe this offer will prompt them to get them in - ha!

I couldn't agree more, they may as well recycle them.

Of course, they may well be the good ones.

They will be giving these away with cornflakes soon! Philips & GE ones are great, much better than in the past, can't comment on own brand ones.

No screw type in my local :(

Get the 20 watt ones (100 watt equivalent) which are nice and bright. The 11 watt ones would annoy most people.

They really should state the lumens per watt on these things, that way you can work out how bright they really are.

I am sure if you bought 10 different brand ones all stating 20 watts you would get a different amount of light out of them.

Either way, if you have normal lights it’s a good saving.
Assuming they last 10 years and you use them 3h a day on average you will save just under £88 a bulb!!
