I have this set. Great quality.
great price! great added
The £127 Amazon/Panters price is for a 'unboxed' set.
Its only £127 at Amazon normally so where does the £222 come from?
Also seriously overpriced tableware at £111, not worth it IMHO
Heat given, a good deal on this set, and you have pointed me in the direction of a new store to browze too :D

Shame this is cold. My first job was a chef and still love cooking to this day. Global knives are of excellent quality and will out-live any Sabatier or Victorinox so not sure about the cold-voting.

Voted hot as I would buy this if I had funds available.
expensive kitchen knives do not make you a better cook...
Whilst good knives don't make you a better chef, they do last a life time and can be guaranteed to do what you want them to do instead of having permanently blunt, cheap alternatives. If your not fussed about knives then don't bother reading the post as you won't be interested in buying them and you can leave them to people who are!

what nonsense!

heat added for the best price for these specific knives (as this site should be), however, sharpen and maintain your 9.99 'cheap' knives and you'll do just fine. If you want a 'name' to stick on your magnetic holder in your kitchen then more fool you, in my opinion...I doubt this is any better than any other sharp bit of metal for cutting.

I thought that, but I've got an awful set of knives from B&M or similar, just won't sharpen properly, I'd guess ask anyone with a degree in metallurgy and they'll probably tell you sharpness is a factor of the steel the knife is made from, not the sharpener. I doubt most people would consider Global to be worth the money (and you've got a point, my set were only bought at a time in my life where I had more money than sense), but there's no denying they are better than average knives and that has a lot to do with the steel and the angle of the blade.

if i could i would but i can't, so i won't. Good knives thou.
This is a good deal. My brother is a chef, and for his 21st birthday I bought him 1 knife, that cost £85.00. Appreciated this isn't for everybody, but they are amazing quality knives that do last. As a busy chef my bro swears by these, for quality and efficiency.
As a chef of 10 years I can confirm this is a great price. I have used globals for years and would highly recommend them. I even have a global tattoo lol. The blocks alone sell for up to £100 on eBay and that is without any knives. Hot hot hot in my book.
how sad can you get
