Are Skagen not only famous for ladies watches? I might be wrong.

You are correct you are wrong.

So I am correct that I am wrong? That's what I thought as well.

I can't say that I've had any problems at all with the Skagen watches i've bought. I have 3 of them.

Mind you I haven't purchased one recently. The last one I got must have been at least 1.5 - 2 years ago.
All three of the watches I have, have leather straps and they're still going on strong.

It's a shame to hear the bad reviews on them now as I have seen another two that I really like.

Skagen watches are really good but their leather straps are rubbish and very expensive to replace (I was quoted more than the watch cost in the first place). Buy a watch with a mesh strap and you won't have any problems.
Indeed they were great watches, but beware of the mesh stainless steel wrist piece as if you wear fine garments, they will become snagged! I've ruined several blouses and scarves before I realised what was causing it! I tried to take mine back to Samuels where I got mine from, but they said technically there was nothing wrong with the watch and they would have warned about the mesh bracelet etc...
They are a great thin watch and that's what appeals to some folk. Great deals on other styles too. Just enter watches in search field, low to high price etc.

I have commented previously on Skagen watches. I bought two when they first hit the market. I had the first battery replaced by a Jeweller. When the second watch needed the battery replaced I did it myself. I was gobsmacked to see how cheap these are inside. A cheap Japanese Quartz that would sit well in a £10.00 watch. Overpriced, never again!

Not had a Skagen or know much about them but that did surprise me (as have the above tales) with them being so thin. What were the signs you looked for?
