Here you have a top of the range Skoda for the price of a fiesta! 1.6TDI diesel engine with decent fuel economy. the deal is for 15K miles per year but can be easily personalised. Car has Sat-Nav and all the bells and whistles.

It comes out at 18.7p per mile which seems quite decent for me.

It is good for you if you:
-like leasing
-like Skodas
-want a brand new car

Not for you if:
-you can't get the fact that although you can buy a car which is yours to keep for that money, some people like brand new cars and don't want to pay for depreciation.
-you don't like leasing
-Don't like Skodas

This is NOT the facelifted model, therefore the deal.
I couldn't find the fee they charge, so I have not included it in the deal.

Predicted Value after 4 years with less miles than this deal is £6800 so it is cheaper to lease long term.

Overpriced in the first place, worth no more than 13-14k.

People do keep saying Prisons are fun these days, what with the games consoles, no hard labour and what not.

You can't really be basing your opinion on a Stan Boardman gag from 30 years ago?

No, we're all aware that they use VW mechanicals, just most of us now know that isn't a particularly good thing.

some people like brand new cars and don't want to pay for depreciation.

Paying over £11,000 to rent this for 4 years isn't really avoiding depreciation, is it?

I have a Yeti on lease, and I like the way a lease works etc. but 4 years is a big no no from me.

I went lease as I was fed up of used cars breaking, and I could lease a brand new car for the same cost of finance on a used!! Skoda only offer 3 years warranty, so any repairs in that 4th year are at a cost to you, and with 45000+ on the clock you have a good chance of seeing them.

Just an industry opinion....if your in the market for not very flashy, Euro family transport then this car ticks all the boxes. If this is a value for money thread/forum then the Octavia a year old is probably the best starting place.

Not as an ownership prospect it isn't. I'd avoid any diesel unless you are doing north of 20k miles a year.

I must admit to seriously thinking about leasing my next car rather than buying it. There are going to be so many changes to cars in the next few years that I don't want to be saddled with an un-saleable car in a few years.

It is the way forward, especially if the cost of the lease beats depreciation.

It fails the purpose of leasing as pre reg can be bought for 12k so there is no balloon payment in the end
Not advertised on website but our local mervyn stewart has them in stock
It's not a deal sorry
