I think I'd pay the extra £3 and get the black ones. Still - thats just personal choice. This is a good price. be carefull of build quality issues on the headband - apparently they are very fragile?

Black version found here for £17.99

lol - agreed - they are not the best. but at this price (ie under £15!!!) they are probably the best you will get. They're no HD25's etc etc.. you gets what you pay for and if your budget is tight, these are okay.

You can get better for less (e.g. budget Sony cans), but they aren't as fashionable. And that's all these cans are, fashion accesories.
I woulnd't touch them, but good for teens who are much less fussed about the sound quality.

Any Sony can at this price point is of equal quality to these, No way they are any better! You don't get half decent sound on Sony Cans under £40. For effectively £13 on amazon 18-20Khz is pretty much all you are gonna get from any manufacturer. The black version of this can is not a fashion acc and seriously these are pretty good for that price. Skull candy have been about for years and are not just a fly by night fashion gimmick. For this price they are all much of a muchness but the sound quality on these is WAY above average. Build Quality is a different matter....={ I use HD25's btw =]

Sony £10 cans, put this junk to shame -
http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/6383468/Sony-MDR-V150-Headphones/Product.html

And yes, I have actually tried both (as well as many, many other cans).

So the Sony's are definately a better bargain for the price, however, my oppion is that you would be hard pushed to hear the difference - unless you are very young - or a Dog. They were probably made in the same factory by the same ppl using many of the same parts...=]

Good deal. I don't like skullcandy at all, but it makes a good present for those who do.

Got my 15% off from amazon too, the only issue - Dispatch estimate for these items: 3 Dec 2010 - 5 Jan 2011. Might have to cancel this one if they don't speed up :p

Thanks to the OP and Gerrykiddy. I got the Amazon deal - amazing value for £12+ including the speakers. But delivery could be up to 2 months for the skullcandy. It didn't initially come up on Amazon and I had to search using the full product title including glen plaid to find it.

Thanks, just ordered!!
