My daughter likes them but I agree with you they are doggy doo doo

Good price though if you are in to them, so I will add some heat
#5
heat and ordered-absolute bargain-btw andy,if mrs barky ever sees my credit card statement,I am blaming it all on YOU!
#6

Completely agree, tried a few Skullcrappy models and they were awful. Sound quality is average at best, and build quality is nothing short of a joke.
They're just fashion accesories for teenagers with little cash. If you like your music to sound decent you'd be better off looking elsewhere.

I bought this pair of Lowriders at the Gadget Show a couple of weeks ago, and whilst they weren't as good as the Sennheiser's etc., I thought they had very decent sound quality for such a low price.

Completely disagree about the build quality as well. I fold them up in bag everyday and unfold them at work, and they seem pretty solid. I think I might treat them better if they didn't have a lifetime warranty though...
#10
For the price of the item, I believe they are a good deal - however, you would be seriously MOCKED for DJing in click- foldable headphones....
#11
Good price for the pair but when they both break within 3 months, you'll be so sad you wasted your money.

Have had skullcandy ones before some of the most average headphones i have ever had :-D

+1

I had Skullcandy FMJ's and they were crap.

CX300's are WAY better.
#13
Oh for fu-

Bought these when they were £25 the other day. Had a £2 voucher but still, argh.

I think they're alright.
#14
If these headphones were in Spinal Tap they would be Derek Smalls. Lukewarm water.

If you liek good sound, seriously stay away from these! Get a pair of sennheisers or sonys for the same price. I advise the senheiser hd218. But if you like the look, I guess theyre good for the price.
#16
I'd like some headphones but I'm more bothered about sound quality so from what I'm reading here these arn't great?

Don't mean to be picky, but

"Have Had Skullcandy ones before some of the worst headphones i have ever had" doesn't mean the same as "Have had Skullcandy ones before. Some of the worst headphones i ever had"

The former (without the full stop in the middle) means that the headphones you bought after the Skullcandy ones, were bad. The latter means the Skullcandy headphones were bad.

Which is it ?
#18
Guessing the price got lowered. Have said it before but the build quality is very poor, the bit at the top snapped off one day while unfolding even though very little pressure was applied. Ok sound quality, comfy to wear and I suppose fashionable however..
#19
Good price for the item.

personally wouldnt buy them tho XD
#20
From the feedback on here performance doesnt sound great, but the price represents good value.

Do you get a case? If not, then I dont think they would stand up to my usage of packing/unpacking them in my laptop case for my regular plane trips.

HOT either way.
#21
Hey guys, is this better than creative labs ep 630?

Thanks and voted hot :D
#22
Skullcandy.
From personal and anecdotal evidence, they are some of the poorest build quality headphones around. Mine broke, everyone else I know who has them theirs have broke.

You get a lifetime warranty though, which I did use and got a new set quickly enough.

Besides the product though, this is a cracking deal, you'd expect to be paying about £55 for the two sets separately.
#23
yes for the price its quite good, over the head phones and in ear headphones. never used skullcandy before, not into that kind of fashion, but its a perfect present for someone i know. thanks!
#24
What? i bought these about 4 days ago for £25....Grrrrrrr.......Still they are both awesome headphones

same! Good quality in terms of sound and in general! Since they have come though have used them everyday really handy when I am working on my uni work they keep me focused!
#28
bought these the other day for £24.99. Aint even recieved them yet. U think PLAY will offer a partial refund or anything? or just return them and buy them again..
#29
can you buy another set and send them back as the first set??
#30
Been wanting some Skullcandys for ages but was more interested in getting the GI or TI...

Was v tempted at the price the other day, even more tempted now, but the poor feedback here puts me off a little.:?

Family members have both of these in the deal & they think they're great!

i personally am quite happy with them! didn't want the ink'd ones though! the lowriders are pretty solid sounding to me, not as bassy as i expected but for the price i'm content!
#32

Oh really!! Never let the truth get in the way of a good marketing ploy...
#33
All I need to know is...are they better than the standard headphones you get with an SE walkman phone?

Bare in mind much of what you see in this thread will be sennheiser fanboyism.

I got a pair of these free last year with my phone so I wasn't expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised to find they were possibly the best budget headphones I have owned inc. senn's, sound and build is top notch for the price.

HOT either way.

Can anyone confirm if you get a case to protect them?:?

There seems to be a lot of people saying this is not a great set (or two sets) of headphones, but not very many suggestions offering even one pair of headphones anywhere near the same price as an alternative? Never mind the two pair of branded headphones included in this deal, so heat added.

I cant comment on the Lowrider ones but the ink'd skullcandy headphones were well worth the tenner i paid for them over a year ago and much better sound (in my ears anyway) than the Sony ones I had previously which cost £25.

Haven't seen too many mentions of Senheisers in here actually. I myself think they are overrated, but I'd still get a low end pair instead of this crap.

Being a 'brand' makes them good? What a poor argument. There are masses of 'Branded' goods around that are truly awful, and Skullcandy headphones definitely fall into that category.
As for alternatives, in all honesty Sony MDR-V150's have superior sound quality than the lowriders, and are under £10 in a few places.

As for buds, I don't know as I'm not a fan of them, but I'm sure there are decent sets around for not a lot of money.

Agree with that.
Had a pair for six months and haven't had a problem.Would quite happily buy another pair if these had broken easily (which they haven't).
#39
so so sound quality at best, and quite shocking build/materials quality.
senn px100's every time above any skullcandy.
#40
I got a pair of skullcandy bud earphones recently and the missus has got a pink pair and for a budget set of headphones the sound quality is very good, I get trains and tubes to work and when i'm travelling and listening to my music I don't hear any of the noise around me.
