Reviews look fantastic and this seems to be substantially lower than elsewhere, and from a very reputable company.

Professional reviews can be found here:

(describes them as heavy duty metal contrusction, delicious sound, the cord is durable, 100mw max input, comfortable interchangeable pads)

I found the sound from them rather tinny.

All the reviews I've read about them emphasise the amazing sound and deep bass, perhaps they weren't fitted correctly? :)

I don't think Skullcandy are a well-respected brand for serious audiophiles; but looking around headfi.org and headroom.com, they seem top think these are better than their usual offerings, especially if you like bass-heavy music.

I got a purple pair of these for my OH from Play just a couple of weeks ago & he thinks they're great.

I think I paid £12.79 or there abouts for them.

You probably prefer heavy metal ;)

Not many of the Skullcandy earphones are ever reviewed that well. If you want a decent set them look no further than SoundMagic. They offer far more bass than most sub £150 earphones and also a great level of detailed compared to others (although the top end PL50's are lighter on bass are better on detail). You can get five models for under £50. The PL11, PL18, PL21, PL30 and PL50. Plus the MP21 is the iPhone compatible version.
