Sky is offering through live chat £100 credit, 12 months half price on complete bundles and HD for existing sky customers who have applied to cancel. This makes the first two months free with sky and with the third month only costing £28.61 and then half price for the additional 9 months costing £42.87.

I mentioned to sky that I received a call yesterday offering me £50 credit and 10 months half price including sky go extra free for 10 months. He said this offer was only available by calling but if I was to except %50 off for 12 months now he would credit my account with £100.

Good luck.

Heat. I always find information like this useful and don't understand why everyone votes cold. My contract ended a month ago. Missed a call from Sky the other day (googled the number). May be worth a live chat!

I am pleased with what I have from Sky after paying loads for years. I had to go without Sky for 3 weeks though and they offered different deals before I took the best offer . The first call was they would give me the original bundle for £24 per month. The 2nd call was nearer £20 and then the final call from them was they offered me 60% off the original bundle and a £100 credit, which makes it free for about 8.5 months. Also there was no contract so I could end it at any time! So my first payment with Sky is in August 2016

'Sky is offering through live chat'

not an offer to everybody, this needs removing, its a retention deal.

I got offered 75% of everything and still refused. oO

I always call Sky at end of contract. Just got them to reduce from £80.50 to £44 per month for basic with sports wifi unlimited and phone line.

I went through many chat sessions last week and the best offer was £50 credit and 50% off which doesn't include HD mix and multiroom but you could keep on a rolling contract. I suppose the £100 credit is possible as they have now removed the free tablet when you upgrade from variety to family but I doubt it.
You don't have to ever go without it - you connect via chat and they will worship you. 2TB for £49 including engineer to replace wires and old with another new one.

we phoned the other day to cancel and the best they would do is 20% off. … we phoned the other day to cancel and the best they would do is 20% off. the bill would have still been astronimaly high and they would only give it us for 10 months so we were left with no other option then to leave and go to virgin

You should of cancelled 3 weeks before the contract end. They will then phone you and offer you a better deal, if you phone them there less likely to give you a good deal.

The only thing they will offer me is 50% off BB and 7.50 off my tv (variety bundle). What are you saying in order to get these better deals as i've tried explaining my bill is too high and i want to cancel and they are just like ok we can cancel it for you...

Cancel it. Subscribe to Netflix. Watch BBC iPlayer / All4. Save a packet. Watch what you want, when you want to. Pay Sky nothing. Oh, and legally cancel your TV licence - that's another £145 a year saved right there.

You need to cancel in order to get the better deals.

Currently 1 week into my cancellation period and have been offered £100 credit & 50% off for 12 months on a 30 day rolling contract

Yup! As they all say above, you have to be prepared to cancel and go without for a few weeks. Honestly, they will give a good deal, just say no a few times. It's hard I know, but you can do it!! Get Netflix to tide you over... ....lol! What did we do before Sky? Black and white tv and 3 tv channels! And most people got their tv from Radio Rentals!!!

Good for you!!!. I suspect they only offered you 75% off when you threatened to cancel . That begs the question what price for loyalty. loyal customers get nothing unless they threaten to cancel. Then in order to get it you need to resign for another 12/18 mths otherwise they'll happily charge you full wack . No loyalty discount. Existing Loyal customers end up subs editing all the new offers designed to attract new customers .

They must be losing a lot of customers now though - I have also recently left because Netflix and Amazon Prime cover pretty much what I needed. I will miss Sky Sports but that's about it. Sky at £75 a month or Prime and Netflix both for about £10 a month is a no brainer I think. Sky at full price is simply too expensive and I don't think anyone can say you're getting value for money at that price either.

Managed to get 50% for 12months and 50 credit. Thanks OP! Actually got me to stay with Sky lol. Package without movies and sports works out less than 14pm. Can't argue with that too much! Tv license costs me about the same.

I used to only ever have Sky for free. Joined as a new customer every year and when you combine the discounts, cash credits and Quidco/TSB it's usually free for the 12 months. However, I still had to pay the TV licence at £145.50.

Cancelled Sky and removed the box back in November and cancelled the TV licence. So for the past three months we've been watching Netflix, BBC iPlayer, All 4, and occasionally Amazon Prime TV. This setup has got everything we want, when we want it. No TV licence, so £145.50 a year saved, plus not a penny paid to sky. Oh, for clarity I do pay for Netflix. The middle subscription with HD. I pay 109 Mexican Pesos for that (£4.07). Normal price is £7.49. All UK content received as normal.

It's a little ridiculous that we could be on the same package, but we pay different prices. By the looks of these comments I pay far too much.

Sky offered me today variety package and unlimited broadband for £43 a month. I've been with them 4 years. Wasn't good enough for me so I cancelled. All hell will break loose here in a month's time. If anyone needs me... I'll be at my dads using his Internet

I'm in the process of cancelling my sky subscription and I'm looking to get the complete package (sports and movies ) with maybe a multiroom and unlimited broadband for about £55 a month including line rental. Are my expectations too high or should I not budge until they give me what I want. Any tips appreciated because I'm new to all this.
