Not exactly a deal in the true sense but I though I'd share this with you.
I currently have Sky+ (white box, kids pack only), sky broadband and sky talk unlimited. I was called by a nice lady who, after a lot of waffle, informed me that I have some "offers on my account due to the fact that I'd been with them for a long time".
What does that mean I asked? She then started going down her script about "what do i enjoy watching , blah blah."
I was pushed for time so I told her Sky was very good but too expensive. I dropped into the conversation that I had a new High-Def TV, after much discussion we agreed on the following deal...
1. She would send out a new Sky+ HD box to me
2. Delivery was £15.00
3. I needed to do a self instal (easy, just unplug the old box and replace with the new)
4. On top of my current package she would add £10.25 per month (total £123.00)
5. She would credit £115 to my account for taking the offer
The additional cost to me is £8 for HD and £15 for delivery = £23 for a whole years HD (The contract lenth for HD is 12 months).
I'm happy as the remote on my old box needed replacing!!!
If I wasn't pushed for time I wonder if I would have extracted a better offer.....
