Gutted, just bought this from a petrol station for a fiver! Works great though, would recommend.

Bought the tesco one for £5, couldn't get it to work with the TV. Going back tomorro. Guess I will have to fork out £20 for one to work with the TV and Sky

If you can wait a few days... when my Sky remote broke, I just gave Sky a call and said the remote control wasn't functioning any more and they sent me a new one within a few days free of charge.

Often leave your baby unsupervised with a bath full of water and electrical equipment? :?

Exactly.

I had the clowns phone me up (I'm in month 11 of 12) and they said my guarantee on the Sky+ box was finished. That it is not 12 months old escaped them and they said it would cost £150/200 to get a new one and would I like to buy some insurance.

I calmly told them not to be so stupid and that if Sky wanted to keep collecting my money, they would have to send me a new one. Simple as.

Most of the time such warranty calls aren't from Sky, rather cleverly-disguised cold calls from third parties. They call people telling them that their warranty has expired and could lead to a costly repair, the odds are usually in their favour since most homes have an old digibox lying around. They normally don't say they're from sky (since that would be a lie), rather that they've called about Sky.

there was something describing where to put the batteries and what all the buttons do, but no full code list or how to activate the code search function.

I'm after the codes for an Amstrad SKY box and a Technika 19" LCD TV

I read the leaflet that comes with this in the store. It has info on how to switch to Nokia STBs and Philips the remote control defaults to the Sky / Pace Sky boxes.

The instructions do not mension Sky but talk about "Astro STB" I assume this is supposed to mean Astra Set to Box?

There were no code tables of TV makes in the leaflet. The packaging suggests it is a multi function remote.

Anyone got this working on a TV? Or tried the codes here:

I Cant complain that it hasnt any instructions and doesnt work after all it was only a quid.

one way to make it work is to lob it at the front of your sky box and it might just hit the channel change button (joking)

its a load of unprocessed fertilizer:whistling:

Bought 2 today and no code list in either.
Not even set up to operate sky box as default.

Tried Googling for info but nothing really out there.
Knew it was too good to be true at this price.
Going back for a refund!!!!:x

The codes on this list are 4-digit and i think this remote only accepts 3-digit codes.
There's no "SET" button on the remote anyway as required for this list.

Don't buy this remote... there are no instructions... no codes inside...
Which you will only find out after buying it.

This is compatible with Astro DMT boxes which are not sold in the UK. I think the boxes only work in East (korea/japan/china).

Batteries are not supplied. So I ended up buying batteries only to find that remote is Sh*t.
And I am feeling a bit embarrassed to return it to just get the quid back. WTF !

I am gonna do it anyway.

My advice DONT BUY IT.
