Why would you want two remotes?

This is part of a larger "2 for £25" deal which includes multiple products. You can pick what you want instead.
Hope this helps.

Is the Sky Sports subscription just a code that you could use on a PC with Sky Player if you don't have an Xbox? For example, could I buy 10 months for £125 and watch Sky Sports on my PC all next season?

Read the miniumum requirments bit, the codes are only valid until the 30th september 2010.. would be a waste of £125!

The thing with the sky player is that the codes are really a one month free trial. If you don't put a cancellation through a day after you have started it (takes a month for it to cancel), they will charge you £30 odd pound for the next month. I was hoping it would be a lot easier than that so bought one a while back but then haven't used it due to that reason. If anyone wants it let me know and I will put it up for £5.

Try to find something else that's worth adding into your basket, yep thought not!

And an extra quid off for anyone who's been to McDonalds in the last 6 weeks ;)

If I buy this, and want sky sports only for 1 month, would I phone them up right at the start to put in a cancellation request, or is it done through the console?

Do I have to give me bank details?

This isn't true, you can cancel on the last day and they don't charge you, as I did.

It's linked to your sky account / ID which you set up online as part of the process, you can cancel online straight away once the process is complete.
#16
I did it all online, signed up for 1 month (yes had to put credit card details in) and cancelled after 25 days, recieved an email saying subscription will cease in 5 days, kept an eye on the credit card statement for the next few months, nothing was ever taken from them, so as long as you do it right, everything will be fine.

It isn't, it's valid until the end of 2011.

The day after? Cancel it as soon as you sign up.

You could sell off the remotes on eBay.

I have been using these for months and cancelling the minute after i put my code in and subscribe....
#20
You can cancel this straight after you use the code, you still get a months worth of Sky. You can't stack them though i.e use four codes in a row and get 4 months of Sky. You have to wait until the first code has expired then use another. Otherwise I'd buy enough for next season and use them all in august to avoid the September validity issue.

Agreed, but at least they have the decency to make it easy to cancel, unlike a lot of companies.

Streamed through your broadband.
Pretty good actually.
I've not encountered any problems with buffering, it buffers for about 5 seconds at the start then none at all on a my 4mb line.
Sky Sports 1/2/3/4, Sky One, G.O.L.D, Nat Geo, Sky Arts, MTV, Eurosport 1/2, History,CN, Nick.
No recording, but you can watch alot of the stuff on demand which is free.

Can also use Sky Player on any PC anywhere (in the UK only though I would presume)

Can anyone tell me which version of the 360 remote is included? There seem to be two official versions, a stubby one and one with extra buttons which also lights up (useful for dark rooms).
#30
The larger one which lights up.
#31
Does anyone know how quickly these come through?

It's Play - don't hold your breath!

In a real hurry order else where, don't forget Game had these at £14.99 if you only want one and can't be bothered to sell the other 1
#33
I had one of these and it lets you cancel the SKY sub straight away, and it then automatically expires at the end of the month - all done on SKY's website and very nice and easy.

Quality is reasonable, but not as good as normal TV.

Channels are limited, but worthwhile for the sports channels.

Mine also stated expires Sept 2010 on the package, but stated 2011 inside the box........not that it'd wait that long any way!
