IMO, the sky player is useless, a load of crap channels and only the uk made (crap 99% of the time) content from sky one.

Complete crap, and i get it free!

I am so annoyed with the Sky player, I have a Silver membership but I am a Sky customer so I should be able to watch this. But the SKY player is only available to GOLD members, simply rubbish.

I bet they have 10 times more silver members than GOLD memebers why would they want to limit the SKY player to GOLD members. If you are a gold member you probably will be playing multiplayer games and not watching sky. I do not get it.

I am sure they could make a lot more money if they open the sky player to all the members.

I guess I will keep watching Sky through my SKY box and not the XBOX

I paid £28.99 for 13 months? No where near £10 a month, more like £2.23 per month.:p

Think he was refering to sky player costs not gold membership costs.

12 months can be picked up for £24.90 now

LOL at 'silver member' .. you sould say you own an xbox rather then making out you're a special xbox live customer... Like others suggest.. lash out and get gold for £28 or even better, grab this deal and get yourself 3 months, plus remote plus voucher for 3 months Sky.. heck i'd probably buy the 3 months access off you for £10 - £15!

Edit: Sky player is free for Sky customers who have xbox live gold. No more to pay.

In that situation you are better off getting multi room for £10 extra then having it on xbox for free

No as i am not paying sky another penny, £50 a month is plenty! Besides quality of sky player was shocking when i downloaded it,BBC iplayer on PS3 is great quality and thats free.

This looks intresting, but im a little confused. I have an xbox live gold membership, and we have sky aswell but not on a subscription (just the free channels). Also the sky box thingy is in the main room not in the room with the xbox and stuff. So what would i need to do to take advantage of this? i really only want sky sports!

thanks for anyone that clears this up.

oops  ok I might have gone wrong with my estimates, but besides that I still think Sky player should be available for everyone.

Let's say that I wanted to pay to watch SKY Sports or a particular game I can not do it because I am not a GOLD member, why would they want me not to do it, is that not limiting their profit?

Im sure sky would rather people with silver to have it aswell but I bet microsoft have said you have to have gold because they are the 1's who will make the money from it.

Lol. List it as a deal on hear. Its funny watching all the snobs having a go 4 listing a deal as a joke.
And all the people thinkin there funny with really bad jokes

If i buy 12 of these, can I effectively have a years sky sports subs for only £25 per month?

And also flog the media remotes and 3 months subs and make some money back!?

Your figures seem a bit ropey : as of January this year there were 31.6 million xbox sales announced and in the same month MS trumpeted the fact it had reached 17 million gold subscribers. So only just over half of xboxes (53.7%) have gold subscribtions

According to figures released in November there are just over 20 million "active" Xbox live users but this includes both Silver and Gold members.
