#3
I've signed up for the deal. Got a yellow copy of the 'Customer Service Checklist'.
Installation date is 14/02.
#4
do you work for sky lol anyways what channels do i get with this box?
#5
So what do u get? do u get the dish fitted and a Sky+ HD box and freeview channels only or different channels? any further subscription to worry about?
#6
Where did you hear the sky hd sub is being scrapped? can anyone confirm this?
#7
Just what we've been waiting for. I have a 1 year contract for my +HD - I wonder if they will waive the tenner a month?? Pigs might fly! : - )
#8
No stand in my Asda... how do I sign up?
#9
The Sky rep told me that the target is 1.5 million Sky HD subscribers, hence they are scrapping the monthly subs.
#10
is it nationwide?
#11
Typical i had sky+ hd installed yesterday for £79 :x

Voted hot! If deal nationwide this will get very hot! :-D Great find and thanks for sharing with us! :-D

I registered to upgrade to Sky HD on Tuesday and got a confirmation today saying installation in 2 months!
#17
How does this work?

£29 for the Box
£30 installation

Then what? What are he monthly charges? What are you getting for your money etc?
#18
You get 19 HD channels subject to subscription.

so did i sky are such bell ends

I don't believe they're scrapping the subs at all. There's no point - people are piling in for the £49 box WITH subs, why strip it out?

I know you mean well, but I think you've been had, and I think people should be wary of anyone saying it's free subs until Sky have announced it.
#23
nice one, this is what i waited for, haha!

I'd be interested to know this as well. Currently have full subscription with movies, sport etc and paying half price for 12 months £22.50+ £10 HD. If they are removing charge i'll only be paying £22.50!
#25
Not sure I got this.

Does this mean I can get SkyHD, box installed for £59 and have no subscription to pay as a completely new customer? or do I have to take some othe package as well?
#26
Not that I'd doubt anyone who only had 3 posts, but has this deal been confirmed?
#27
hmm ... i find myself doubting this deal. sky would lose millions if they scrapped the £10 month subscription
#28
is that what we get?

http://packages.sky.com/hd/channels/
opp do you have the reps number worth asking him if any reps going to be around in the midlands area
#29
Isn't it free for one month?

I believe the offer is one month free HD pack. After that you pay the £10/month.

Could be wrong but the HD sub brings sky £80 million a year. That would be hard to lose.
#30
Great deal for £29 and quick install mind...
#31
I don't want to throw doubt about, but, Sky have just launched a deal where the box is £49 and you still have to pay £9.75 a month, why would they suddenly bring out this new offer so soon after the other one. Amazed this is getting so hot even though there's no hard evidence and it's a new poster?

Sorry Mike99, don't mean to sound arrogant towards you, but, I just find it very strange.

i looked over on avforums ... nothing there.

cant see it happening tbh ...
#33
If people can confirm there not going to pay the sky hd subs then i'll be ringing sky up & demanding free subs for myself

Yeah i don't think they are dropping the £10 sub either, no mention of this on av forums and if this were true i'm sure it would be on there

This deal should include the £10 per month sub in the title
#35
Voted cold - Currently £49 on the Sky website and get £100 quidco.
#36
This offer has been on display in currys, comet etc for a week or two now.

The other costs are minimum of £17 for monthly subscription - very basic hardly any HD to £45 odd quid for all channels. This is of course before the HD sub is added on - which is still active at the moment - of £9.75.

We currently have multiroom with SKy+ downstairs and Sky upstairs - Sky are moving the sky+ upstairs and installing HD downstairs all for the £49 cost of the HD box that they are doing now.

Even had a moan about prices and got £5 reduction on my sub for 6 months.
#37
This should be expired and scrapped before everyone goes giddy with excitement.

The OP is either a walter mitty, or they've been had.
#38
not a hope in hell of them scrapping the £10 a month fee
#39
Call me greedy but if this could be combined with quidco that would mean £100 cashback on top (dare I say M&S vouchers too?)

Need to go sit down!
#40
why not, sky+ subs were scrapped really quickly after offers like this! staff on here confirmed it will be scrapped soon.
