Sky seem to have a good deal on at the mo. All free box and installation. Just pay for the monthly sub.
£28 for the cheapest sub with HD pack.

I dont think you can have the HD pack without paying £18.50 for a normal pack first.
#2
Don't think your understanding the terms and conditions no way will they let you have the HD channels which include Sky 1 I believe for £10 and no other fees be involved.
#3
Its basic package + £10 for sky hd, also to get free installation you have to take out multiroom which is another £10 on top of that.
Unless you are a good customer and try to get the multiroom waived.
:)

Sorry sorry, I missed the £18 standard monthly sub, thought it was too good to be true, will edit.

It is £10.00/month for HD itself and + a min of £18.00 so it is £28.00/month

Correct. You'll also have to pay for (at least) the basic Sky package AND the Sky HD package, for a minimum contract of 12 months So that's another £336 for the first year.

I have had HD for a year and have now cancelled it. Unless you have movies and sports (which are not part of the basic package) HD is not worth having IMO as you have very few HD channels to choose from.

We are no longer paying the £10 per month but can still access BBC HD and CH4 HD. These were the only ones we watched anyway.

This deal is cold as the benefit of HD on the basic package is minimal.

If you are really into your films then HD might be worth it, but only with a full package (or at least the movies).

can not see the free box and installation on their site.....
it's 49 for sky+HD box and 30 for installation....

I'm going down the route of getting a Freesat box, or the new Freeview HD service that will be up and running fully very soon. The only reason I'd ever get sky would be for movies and football, but to much money atm for me to throw away.

I wonder if they will offer some free HD channels when Freeview HD comes out.

If you're so sorry why did you post this again even though you posted it over an hour ago and it was expired then?

Well I didn't realise it had expired. The first time I thought I had made a mistake as it had disappered from my view (I dont normally see expired, it just took me 5 mins to find out where this one has gone) and I still dont think it should be as this is a new deal with a free box and setup. Gotta be of some use to someone.

My original link seems to have changed.

I'm not in it for the heat, I couldn't care less. I take a lot from this site and I was just giving a bit back

Adam, I'm going to grant you the benefit of the doubt and assume you were 'trying' to engage in humour?

It's not your strong point is it?

If you weren't trying to be humorous, then I'm afraid to inform you that you're going to have to add 'intelligence' to your list of weaknesses! Being as the OP is in relation to 'SKY' and 'HD', I think it's fair to assume that even an imbecile would realise the question posed by rudie was in relation to 'SKY' offering 'FREE HD' channels.

Hopefully it's just your sense of humour that's lacking!
