Not seen this deal before, NO CONTRACT but there is a catch, after 2 months the Sky+ and HD features will be disabled as you need to subscribe or pay £10/month even if your on freebies to use the + and HD features.

Does it upscale normal sky tv though?
Not for me this one,,,
all the tesco boxs are non contract
I don't think this deal makes sense. After two month what benefit do you have by having this HD+box.

Because if you intend to keep the HD packages to watch tv on HD you have to pay anyway, you might as well get it for free or £49 and have a contract.

Sorry cold deal for me
What would be the point in getting this deal when you can get from Sky for £49 and get £120 back from quidco. Also if you buy the box from Tesco and don't subscribe to Sky the recording functions will not work (something I've always hated about Sky +/HD boxes).
I think you get the BBC and ITV HD channels for free? Or do you need the £10 sub for that as well?
BBC HD yes, not sure about ITV HD (maybe on some versions of the Sky HD boxes), but without recording functions why not just get a freesat HD box for £100ish, or a freesat recorder for £159 from Richer Sounds.

The RicherSounds freesat recorder Humax Foxsat-HDR is £254.95 currently (or a bit less if VIP newsletter usually). Of course the real problem with HD on Freesat is that there is CURRENTLY only BBC HD through the evenings with ITV doing the occasional simulcast (1 a day sometimes, but often nothing for days!).
really dont know why ITV don't simulcast like channel 4 do - especially given that SD itv on satellite is actually lower resolution than it is on freeview.
they are broadcasting static image 24-7 anyway so there's no extra data costs.
not a good one mate. Sorry but thanks for taking the time to post it.
The new Sky HD menu is out now. But I wouldnt spend my money just for that
