Plans starting from £10 for 1GB of data isn't attractive at all. Plus there are no bundled minutes, so calls are charged at 10p per minute.
Don't shoot me down if I've misread this, but that's about the worse value I've ever seen!
If this really is their offer, the "add on" of unlimited minutes for an extra £10 a month is truly awful value (£20 a month for unlimited minutes/texts and a whole gigabyte of data? oO )

The plans only include data, and don’t offer texts and calls. Texts are charged at 10p per message and calls are priced 10p per minute, if you’re not a Sky TV customer. Alternatively, you can opt to pay £10 per month for unlimited texts and calls.
WTF,,, seriously SKY is going yo launch a product like this??

Now that I'm thinking about it, I feel like Plusnet Mobile service is going to kick off like fire if their customer service is superb.

I think you have to look at this in line with other o2 companies but even that doesn't work as Tesco offer more data yes without a rollover for a tenner, we get best coverage with o2 and I was hoping for more though from the deal.

On the o2 network and very expensive

Anything with sky's name on is a rip off, now tv on the other hand, lol.
#10
Texts and calls are free if you're a sky tv customer though.

For me, it beats what I currently get from O2 (£15 for 2GB)... so seems like a good deal. Am I missing something here?

why would you pay £15 for 2gb? i pay £15 for 20gb and o2 do a £20 for 20gb

Wow £10 for a gb oOoO

Yeah, they are for black friday... but thats not their standard deal. (Or certainly wasn't when I signed up for another 12m)
#14
Surely one of the worst deals out there. I currently have 20gb faster 4G with EE for £15.

Wow £10 for a gb oOoO

exactly, might as well order 3 post as you go, and the calls and texts are cheaper if no sky.
#21
So a non-TV customer would have to pay £10 + £10 for unlimited mins/texts and 1GB data, lmao it's like the 90's again.

FAIL .. FLOP... should have launched on 1st april.

What a joke just signed uo my wife to plusnet mobile 1500 mins, unlimited texts, 4gb of 4g data quicker than o2 where i live lol! This is as cold as ice
#24
Sky will be having an emergency meeting about this tomorrow.
#25
joke thread??

joke thread?

I'd rather go without than give these chumps more of my money.

It depends this will probably be a lean in price so they can give you such a big reduction and make you feel like you got a bargain. I do like some of the ideas though and it might be good for the mobile market in general.
Rolling over unused Data. Then being able to downgrade the allowance if you have a full "bank" of data to use up.
Streaming from Sky not taken off your data allowance.

Apart from those two points which might just be good for the market to compete against. Certainly not a Sky Fan just cancelled my Sky TV in favour of BT.

Are we also seeing a possible takeover of O2? Sky already bought the BB business couple of years ago and unsure if the talk of Three buying over O2 will ever happen. Since BT already bought EE you never know.

Mines not black friday deal. They do 30gb for £20 now so get on that if you can, it's available to upgrade to. I would but don't even use close to give most months so ain't worth it. And I was talking BT not o2 incase you thought I was o2.

Three were blocked from buying o2 sky would not be because they do not own a mobile network!

It's tough to see what problems this deal is fixing.
#33
Sky actually paid people to sit down and come up with such a dreadful deal. I think they better start fixing the problem with this foolish idea before considering trying to fix other competitiors phone contracts.

Even with 50% or 75% off sly deals a rip off
#35
Cant wait for my contract to finish with Sky in April.

Rang up, even the lady on the phone said wow you are a long time customer (10 years), lets see what we can do for you...

in the end all they could do is half price fibre broadband which still in the end would have increased my bill to £87 and put me in a new 12 month contract.
#36
Tragic pricing but good they're coming into the market with the sharing plans. Will push the rest to start offering it.

I have a locked phone, I also have an osprey with 100mb ee free data. Giffgaff is 15p, tesco is 24p but triple data lasts 1 month, o2 is 30p and sky is 10p per minute for low users with a locked o2 phone this is super hot. Am i missing sonething. Even with the feckery of giffgaff referring a new sim with 5 gbp credit and realising the 500 points on the original sim giffgaff is 7.5p min but sky is only 2.5p more and you keep your number

no one should be paying full price for Sky, but you have to put in a cancelation request to get anything from them. However once you do you will immediately be offered 50% off your TV, don't accept it, push for 60% and account credit. There is an old thread on misc called 75% off sky, that shows the current discounts people are getting, a few weeks ago it 75% and up to £100 credit. Same goes for broadband, but offers are different.

o2 now have a classic payg which is 5p for everything, but don't forget Three 123 payg as well for low users with the right phone.
