I was on "MY SKY" page looking at my bill and some offers.

I wanted to upgrade to movies for £8 extra a month (as I have sky sports already)
Added the £8 a month but it kept showing as £15 extra!

ANYWAY! talked to someone on the sales team through the online chat and he said

"SKY: We can offer you movies just for £1.00 extra a month for 6 months.

SKY: After 6 months it will cost you £8.00 a month if you keep movies.

SKY: And you can cancel movies any time you wish provided you give 31 days notice."

So no renewal of contract and you get all the movie channels for £1 for 6 months then it's £8
after that!!

HOW TO CLAIM:

Now he sent me a link for it (DEAL BUTTON) if that doesn't work then just speak to an advisor on the online chat and they will send you the link to take the offer up!

1) Log into your My Sky account online

2) then visit: http://www.sky.com/quickbuy/deeplink?addToBasket=TV_SKY_MOVIES_1,TV_SKY_MOVIES_2,&custype=EC&level2Offer=LP1GBPMVE

Complete the order :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As of yet I think it's for EXISTING CUSTOMERS ONLY WHO HAVE SKY SPORTS PACKAGE.

So now I'm paying £56 + £1 a month for Sky entrainment package, HD pack, Sports AND movies!

I was happy with the £8 a month but I'm not complaining!

So now I can watch movies during xmas :) Hope others can get the deal too

PEACE!!

EDIT: also to confirm a friend also has done this offer and it worked fine :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also works for EXISTING Sky Movies & Sports customers. You just need to add a free service to your basket i.e Sky 3D, Withold Number etc. as you cannot proceed with the cheaper price until something is physically in your basket.

Once you add one of these you will be able to go to checkout with a reduced montly offers price.

If you remove them you'll have to wait 31 days until they are taken off your package. Will depend then if offer is still on. My Sky Movies offer ends in 7 days!

trick23 = epic.

"sounds a bit dodgy that" :D
#163
Good deal, managed to get it using OPS link but couldn't find it searching manually.
#164
Cheers OP. Had the offer lurking in my account. Perfect for Christmas.

Glad I didn't believe her now as it sounds I'd a been screwed!

I currently have one offer on my account already, so did the chat thing and asked if this offer would cancel the other offer i have, i was assured it wouldnt, but asked twice just to be sure, now upon asking my partner he says under the terms it says only one offer can be active on the account. So someone is telling porkies
#167
thanks op just worked for me set a reminder on my phone in 5 months to cancel, have some heat :)
#168
The link worked perfectly for me (I've got the Sport pack) - as soon as I logged in Movies appeared in my basket for £1 a month. Trying it without the link was bringing it up at £8.
#169
Brilliant; just used the link in the OP and with having Sky Sports already, it allowed me to add Sky Movies for 6 months for just £1/month. Don't begrudge paying that for Sky Movies, just need to remember to cancel it after 5 months :)

The way the link is set-out, it makes me wonder if it can be manipulated to bring up different offers, as it's pretty self-explanatory..
#170
Just got this. Cheeeeeeers then.
#171
I've got 3 offers on my sky tv pack - if you want to retain existing offers you will need to phone sky to add the movie deal and cancellations will be the only department who can juggle the figures
#172
It's obviously a legit offer, I've had an espn and movie deal similar already this year but just ran out so adding this is a bonus, just check your current price breakdown against previous bills to check amounts.
#173
Done ! TY
#174
done ty :)

I have a 25% off discount that expires in January, when i copy and paste the link i get the "Upgrade to movies:1GBP for 6 months", my current bill is £55.95 but in the order summary my "portfolio monthly cost" is £55.95 but total monthly cost is £68.75

Does that mean the movies offer would cancel my current deal?
#176
I spoke to someone from sky. Said i could have the £1 offer if i also had sky sports.

Shame i cant have it for the £1. ( dont watch the sports)
#177
Hi it worked for me brilliant !!!!
#178
I don't have sports so when I tried it wouldn't give me the discount. Now my offers are saying £14.50 pm for Sky Sports & Movies for 6 months. Is that good, how much would it cost normally?
#179
Thanks!
#180
Worked for me cheers
#181
As I have a credit on my account they could not give it to me, but they gave me another £30 credit so I got it for free X)
#182
Amazing thanks - Just added online and the channels are already switched on after just 5 mins of placing the order!

It looks like it might be half price, surprised I got the deal as I'm only paying about £2 pm for the HD add on.

You would have had evidence if anything was dodgy after buying it. She told you it would be £1 more a month.
#193

#194
Is there a date this offer ends?

Just I wanna do it tomorrow night when I've got time to sort it out

Also what time do you need to cancel Movies after the 6 months are up? Is it 5 months into the 6 month offer (31 days Notice)
#195
never mind found a work around, cheers!
#196
Thank you - £1 per month for me. Heat added :)
#197
all worked fine..thanks op
#198
Any offers on for ESPN? Quite a few UFC fights coming up.
#199
Will it work fr sky movies customers wanting sky sports?

I have two Sky accounts (because it's cheaper than Multiroom). The first account which is midway through an half price for twelve months deal, and is currently subscribed to Entertainment Extra and Sports, it works on.

The other account which I've just began playing full price on after enjoying six months free, and is currently subscribed to Entertainment Extra only, it won't work with.
