# For £75 new Sky TV customers get over 200 free digital TV channels & 4 months of the 4 most popular Sky Entertainment Mixes (normally £19/month). After 4 months you'll continue to receive Sky TV for £19/month. If you no longer want to receive Sky TV let Sky know & continue with the free channels.

# On receiving your pack call Sky (08705 95 95 95), quote the unique reference number in the pack to book your installation. Have your credit card/Direct Debit details ready - this allows you to order Pay Per View movies & events & continue to watch Sky TV at the end of the 4 months. A professional engineer will bring all you need to get you set for the digital switchover.

# Installations may be subject to delay. Lead times for standard installations for new UK Sky TV customers (excludes Highlands, Channel Isles, Scottish Islands, & Isle of Man) average 5-7 days & may increase prior to Christmas. Non-standard installs may have longer lead times.

# Offer only available to new Sky digital customers who haven't previously entered into an Interactive Discount Contract or a Sky TV Month by Month equipment offer or whose household has benefited from either. Offer limited to 1 per household.

Sky cannot guarantee the availability or content of such channels. Sky Box Office movies & other Pay Per View Events cost extra.

# You can receive a free standard Sky box without subscribing to Sky digital or taking up this pack. Sky selects your equipment. Free Sky box must be connected to a telephone line for 12 months. Warranty is against faults arising in first 12 months & does not affect your statutory rights. Charges may apply after end of warranty period. ok just noticed this seems to be available everywhere

not such a hot deal then:oops:
#2
Been posted on here a while back too.

Still worth noting though as its a great deal. Just wish it was around before i took out sky as they are charging me a fortune every monnth, full package, multiroom, sky plus and hd comes to £64 a month!
#4
God deal, however if your not a Sky subscriber and you take this then later you will not be able to take any special promotions when signing up to Sky eg. Sky + or free installation.

Good tip for anyone considering leaving sky - ring there terminations department and tell them you are unsure about carrying on your subscription. I had the full works (normally about £50 a month) for only £7.50 as a sweetener, in a 12 month period I had 8 months of £7.50 per month charges.

think curry's stock this and you could use the 5% discount code to get a wee bit more off....

I got Sky+ 4 weeks ago. Went through quidco & got £130 cash back. Although i have to pay £20 a month for 5 mixes, it means the sky+ box & the installation worked to be free.

and if that is the case than possibly you can use quidco as well.

I wonder if sky are doing this deal directly.

but my advice to anybody if you want sky go directly through Quidco and take lowest supscription and you will get £130 from quidco

£16 X 12 months= £192

£192-£130= £62

so for £62 you get mix and match for 1 year. (Assuming that your quidco will be tracked)

Yes sky do it directly too. We got it for a couple of family members as xmas presents directly through sky. It was £75 and £2 postage so £77 total:thumbsup:

BEWARE,
I bought this an got 6 months free, at the end of my 6 mnths (last month) Sky told me i was in a twelve month contract and would cost me £19 x 6 months to get out of it!!!
After some very heated conversations they agreed to let me cancel for free.
YOU GET NOWT ON FREESAT !!!! You loose all of the 4 channels including E4, you loose Dave and Virgin 1 and most of the other channels you get on freeview for free!!!
Avoid like the plague!!! if you want to pay £19 a month Sky will give you the box for free anyway (i wasted £75 quid thinking it was a good deal)
#11
how does this compare to freeview for £20 one off?

I have this from the Dixons offer, they cannot prove it is a 12month contract nor will they have a signed contract provins so.

Interesting.

I am on this deal too from Dixons last year Nov, I have already cancelled the direct debit they setup and will be calling come March giving my 1month notice to cancel.

God help the operator that tries to tell me I am on 12months when I have the Dixons order refer and documentation clearly saying 6months and that Sky will have broken the law by allowing Dixons to sell their product with a 6month tag, see you in small claims, thank you please.

You get alot more channels and radio channels with the sky deal than freeview and not everyone can get freeview. Me and my parents both live different places that are unable to get freeview signal so we have to use sky

My sister in law has had this and cancelled no problem when her free sky was finished. You may just have been unlucky and got an operator that didnt know what they were talking about

You cant compare it with freeview which is most of the time very unreliable. Possibly with freesat but i don't think out there, and nobody knows how many channels will be there.

with freeview you get E4, More4, Dave, Virgin & Sky Sports News

which you do not get on freesat from sky

with freesat from sky you get 100's of different channels that you don't get on freeview (most of which are utter poo...but you do get Playboy1 )

E4 and More4 will (so ive read) be available on freesat in late summer this year

the main bonus for people like me (wales) is that freeview signal round here is pants (we don't get cbeebies, e4 etc etc anyway) so we really have no choice but to go with sky

GOOD DEAL. I posted one of these about 7 months ago, I have now come to the end of the contract. However I was informed i needed to cancel by giving 1 month prior notice. I stated that the T&C they were informing me was for a 12 month contract and there is actually no different T&Cs for 6 month deals. So by law there 12 month contract does not apply. The operator I spoke to was givng me lots of **** about that I had to pay another months worth to end the contract. after lots of heated exchanges I had an operator in india whom told me they just read off a screen and told me the best advice was to e-mail sky via sky.com. I did this and someone at sky replyed to me via e-mail and gave me another months viewing for free and cancelled my contract.

The deal has also changed from 7 months ago. Intially the deal was 6 months with 2 basic packages. The deal now is 4 months and 4 basic packages. All in all its kinda the same deal overall. But I belive they now want your bank account details in advance. Also if you try to get someone to si0mply install a sky system they want £50 so this is a bargin in someways.

Re: Freeview.

If you can recieve analogue pictures through your aeiral then you can recieve Freeview - you just need a more modern/better quality aerial and possibly a mains operated booster.
#20
have modern aerial and booster

freeview still aint that good

freeview depends on where you live, sky doesnt

this is why the bbc are doing freesat as not everyone will be able to get freeview

thas contradicting to your own statement.
on one side you say " If you can recieve analogue pictures through your aeiral then you can recieve Freeview"

and than you say "you just need a more modern/better quality aerial and possibly a mains operated booster"

In theory you need a special Ariel in practice your normal antenna works ( must be outdoor one as indoor ones are worst for these jobs).
#23
Whomever said that you get £130 quidco for this is utterly wrong

Dixons, Woolies, John Lewis all have this deal.

Basically its £75 for Sky Pay TV of either 4months 4mixes or 6months 2 mixes, the 6mixes being better value, it is done via the retailer only, and does NOT INVOLVE the Sky.com website in any manner.

When you get the special A4 sheet with your custom reference number, you then call Sky, give them the ref, register the details and arrange an installation, again, it is at this point you become a Sky customer assuming you do not cancel within 30days, Sky.com isn't even involved, negating ANY possibility of Sky quidco being involved, you can get JL/DSG quidco but that is only a few percent and so is £3-5 max on the £75 spend.

Considering the free install on this, and the the fact digital aerial install most will need for freeview is £60+ not to mention £20+ freeview STBs, the more Sky FTV channels there are, (More4/E4 will hit Sky FTV this summer, if you cancel your Sky PayTV after 6months More4/E4 will be FTV by then) making this is VERY good value and especially appealing if you live in a bad signal area for terrestrial signals and you have a near clear south east view of the horizon without obstruction, which most people do.

OK what I mant to say was if you can recieve analogue signal then you can recieve freeview either with your existing aerial or with the addition of a newer aerial and possibly a mains operated signal booster.
