Great price, I paid £11.49 for a Rev 9 one earlier this week on Ebay. Feel a bit foolish now :(

The rev 8 won't work on all tvs if you have a new tv then it's best to get a rev 9 .

Think I would prefer the rev9 but this is a good deal, my 'select' button seems to have packed in, why don't sky make them kid, or more specifically, jam proof???? ;)

Not sure if its well known but Sky do replace the remotes if they fail.

I called sky and told them mine had broken (batteries were lasting 2-3 weeks every time). They sent me a new one for free in next day post.

please be aware these aren't original remote's, they are "original replacement" and pretty poor compared to the genuine ones from sky.
the sensitivity of the signal range is pretty crap.

Is that within 12mths of installation? Only asking because they generally say that the equipment is yours after 12mths and refuse to touch it unless you pay their ridiculous charge (which a threat to cancel usually removes of course!! ;)).

Agree, but good second or reserve option, originals are so damn expensive!! :(

Been with sky for about 18 years now and they always send me a new one when mine go wrong.

That's what has happened to our one, you have to really press the button down hard to get it to work. There weren't any food stuffs involved with our one going wrong though... remotes must just be poor - you'd think they'd make them to last more than 18 months
