So can I watch Sky Sports 1 (ie live matches) with this and is that extra on top of the £14.99?

no-its not extra m8-all included-this a great buy-it costs 14.99 for the 3 months gold subs so you are effectively getting the controller and sky for one month free. there is no extra money to pay once you buy this pack

Ive just cancelled my Sky subscription because of of the high cost. Will that effect me using this?
#8
Thinking of cancelling sky, does anyone know if the sky sports codes have an expiry, for example, could I buy 3 and use them in the months when there is decent footy on?

nope-this is available to existing subscribers and non subscribers-only difference is you use the xbox to browse channels rather than the skybox.

Brilliant deal, just told my missus to buy me it :D
#12
Also at game! Bought one yesterday! Great deal!

You can watch live matches no problem this supplies you with ESPN also which costs £10 a month alone for Sky Subscribers.

It has a great range of on demand movies as well which is a bonus
#14
How much will it cost and when can I get it?

Sky Player is free to existing Sky TV customers, with the availability of channels and programmes being dependant on your core Sky TV subscription. Non Sky TV customers can subscribe to Sky Player from £15 for the Entertainment Pack, and can add Sports Pack for an additional £19 per month. To view Sky Player via your Xbox 360 you will need an Xbox LIVE Gold membership (see www.xbox.com for more details).

The 3 month live sub, and the controller are worth the £14.99 alone, but to get the 1 month of sky, you need to sign up with your card details, and remember to cancel before the months trial, or your card will be billed £34 on going!!
Not all the channels are included too.
This is a great FAQ about the sky player on the 360 from the av forums....

Great deal, 3 months & remote will come in handy.

Does anyone know when SKY 1 Month Trial has to be used? Can you use it say in August later this year? Or does it have an expiry date?

but I also believe that once the month is up you can cancel and then reregister with another code? others have stated this here-could be worth buying a few of these, selling the 3 months subs and controllers and keeping the sky cards??
#21
Can you have more than one of these?
I bought this a few weeks ago at higher price, but not used it yet, waiting for good games to come on, but could i buy this and then get 2 months sky sports if i do them at seperate times?
#22
I'm also interested in this. already have gold and a remote but getting loads of these is cheaper than the sky package! can you use more than one code and do you defiantely get all the sky sports channels?
#23
I subscribed for 3 months sky through my xbox but I have cancelled it mainly due to the cost and the fact that some programmes arent available.

I have ordered this because its a good deal for xbox live sub and remote alone.

Can anyone confirm if this includes movies as well as sport??

The text says:

"Live TV: over 20 channels including the best in sports and movies"

But it also says

"1 Month Sky Sub (Sky Sports Pack)"

Be warned (and as stated in the FAQ link above and Amazon page itself) you won't be able to watch anything live with this if you don't have Multiroom or Sky Broadband Unlimited on your Sky subscription (multiroom costs £9.75 per month extra)...

Not true. Watched live footy matches last year without a Sky subscription.

Can someone answer me a question, because I'm feeling a bit thick.

If I buy this pack, can I watch live football matches without paying any more?
If not I don't want it.

edit: just seen the last 2 posts rep added to you both.

Maybe existing Sky subscribers are bound by this restriction then. We have Sky but no multiroom and it won't let me see any live content... Not tried this pack though so don't know if that gets around the usual requirments in some way...

quickie simpler question...can you save to the xbox hdd? ie x360 acts as a pvr?

This pack does NOT include ESPN Channel and does not include Sky Movies Channels either. What it does give you however is all the other Sky Pack channels like the documentaries, music etc. Good Value.

Get your folks to get multi-room on their subscription (£10), then register their details on the sky website - you can then watch sky on your xbox at uni using their details. :whistling:

No, you can't. I believe the PS3 addon hardware can do this, am i right?

It would be cool to be able to do this and if the Sky app ever gets an update, it would probably be the most asked for new feature, perhaps in the future this might become a possibility if Microsoft and Sky can negotiate as i dont see a problem with it myself, DRM would enable it to only be replayed/re-viewed on the same hardware much like when you download/rent movies from the Zune Marketplace.
