For those who have been unable to get the half price deal, SKY are offering 12 months for 1/3 off if you re-subscribe to them via this number - 0870606111. This includes new equipment and free install.

For Sports, Movies and six mixes it's £ 28.71 instead of £43

This is a freesat number and you have to select option 1 as if you were buying freesat. You can then explain that you'be had SKY in the past and are wanting to resubscribe. If you pass their checks you should be offered the deal with no problems.

The 1/3 off applies to any package, I took the sports and 6 mixes for £24.67 a month.

interesting, don't suppose this is available for current sky customers as I have everything except movies and sport for years now
#2
just phoning them now the offer is on
#3
Does this apply to SKY HD aswell?
#4
Only for re-subscriptions? Not new customers?
#5
This would be very tempting if it applied to SKY HD, can't see why not, might give them a call after work
#6
I am interested in this offer.
I have been with SKY + for over 12 months and obviously interested in saving money.
Do I need to cancel my current subscription before I take up this new one?
I'm sure alot of other people are in teh same situation.
Thanks
Mark
#7
It does apply to HD but you have to pay for the box and installation.
Personally im getting them to install the dish and then installing the extra cable for HD myself. Ive already ordered the HD box from ebay and will phone up to update to HD once ive got the set up complete.
I asked about upgrading to HD and he said it would be £10 extra a month. To get this you just need to phone customer services so they can match your viewing card to the box.

I originally cancelled SKY last june and resubscribed today. Having said that they didnt actually ask me for my previous account details, they just gave me the offer.

Depends, because as I said they didnt actually check my old account details. All they checked was that there wasnt an active SKY account at my address (which i must add, wasnt the address where I originally subscribed to SKY)

i think its a digrace that those who leave can come back and get good deals, and those of us who are loyal get squat - ive been with them since July 2003 so over 3.5 years and i have only ever had one month of sky world at half price. thats not enough.

I was with SKY for 5 years before I cancelled last June. This is the first discount ive ever received from them.

i threatened to leave a few times, but they didnt try and stop me. so i just said id think about it and ring back later, and of course i didnt.

i use the Sky+ loads, its a godsend so i dont really want to be giving all that up by leaving. i just wish they would maybe give me the choice of sky world for a good price, as right now i have half the sports and half the movies.

I'm already setup for SKY+ so as i understand it i could buy a SKY HD box off ebay for about £180 then sign up to sky at either 50% or 30% off and way i go!

Hmmm very tempting. Then in 12 months threaten to leave and get my 50% off period extended.

Many thank, dialled the number in that thread, stated that I was an ex-Sky customer and that I still have my Sky+ box from 18 months ago. They said they can off me any package, half price. I opted for all six mixes and the movie channels (giving me free Sky+) for £18.50. p/m.

Sky is generally not bothered once they have you in their grasp. I found this out the hard way, which i why i have no intention of going back to them, also on the back of their advertising they keep missing out the fact you need a BT line which costs an additional £11 a month in line rental. So the prices are generally not that clever

I had Sky years ago... free black Pace box...now a bit long in the tooth. Cancelled my sub about 6 months ago...now just have the "house" card which arrived just before I cancelled luckily. Wondered if I could get this 33% off deal via Quidco. Hoping to get the £55 cashback via Quidco but they point out clearly this cashback is only for "new" Sky customers..how do they define "new" I wonder? Anyway went to Sky via Quidco (remember to log on)..selected 2 packages..and standard box..I was quoted £15 a month but with free box & install (would sell new dish/lnb on Ebay). Went in as a new customer on personal details part..but I note there is a question:
Is this the first time that you or anyone in your household has taken up an offer to receive free or discounted standard equipment from Sky, e.g. the free dish and box offer ...under "help" on this question it says:
"You or anyone in your household can only benefit once from our free dish and box offer (even if you've not subscribed to Sky digital before). To continue with your order online you either need to select an equipment option that includes a Sky+ or Sky HD box or you need to contact us on 08705 800 874 to purchase a standard Sky box."
Haven't gone further as I really just want the new box.. and dish to sell...and the £55 cashback from Quidco..and there seem to be too many ifs/buts for me. If anyone's done this I'd be interested..especially the question..am I a "new" customer..as I'm currently not contracted with them..or does my "history" with Sky mean I'm not?..also if anyones done this via the net and got the 33% off when does the price drop from £15 to £10..?

Sounds like you'd qualify for the 33% off but i doubt you'd get the quidco money as that needs to be completed online and this is a phone offer. Get the free box and dish and make your £55 quid that way :)

Got my card through and billing details from SKY today so it looks like I definately have 12 months with 1/3rd off :)
#32
phone number in the OP isnt valid now, no-one seems to have heard anything about this deal
#33
i have too ps what if i want to change my pack i need to phone them init
#34
the phone number is missing a digit at end 1 so phone 08706061111 and yes the deal is on with new box and dish + card
#35
So does the discount apply to all packages, I am looking at Sky + with 2 mixes, so that would be £25 PM normally, so would I get this for @£17pm for 12 months?

Thanks

Steve
#36
Just called them they will do it for £20pm for 12 months, but would need to pay £99 for the box and £60 for installation, so that is £10 for the 2 mixes (that is the 1/3rd off) + £10 for sky +
#37
anyone managed to get this deal but paid less than £99 + £60 for the SKY+ kit?
#38

i think new means new (never used it before)
not second hand not a returning customer

Sky is quoting £99 for New Sky+ box and £60 for installation. Is there anyway I can bargain on it?.
Can I ask for refurbished boxes if they are any good??

My friend is with Sky for over a year and still subscribing to their services but not in contract (as he has been with them over a year).
Sky broadband team says, he is eligble for Free Sky broadband basic, and will be signing for 12 mth contract. But they don't know the answer for, what happens if he breaks the contract, because Broadband basic is free anyway and he has nothing to pay.
Any one knows, if signing-up Sky broadband means a 12 mth contract?.
