Its coming up as an 18 month contract.

The parameter in the offer link is "offercode=18M300D032" which would point to it perhaps being the wrong link?
#2
Click on the 'Price Plan Detail' button on bottom of the page and you know about the it. Also you can view on mobile also about 6 month things
#3
This is the closest link to match most of the description.

Nice little phone, works well on Skype, but has some minor points I'd change if I could on the menu etc., but overall very happy with mine, Voted Hot !
#5
Still comes up as 18 months contract at checkout. Nothing to allow selection of promotional period.
#6
And LG U300 appears to be only available on PAYG, not a contact option
#7
i think quidco will only pay £20 for skype phone - see their webpage

shame really otherwise i would have gone for mixnmatch 500 as that wouldve been £47.50 +£30 for raf+ £20 voucher

how can we chooselg u3 phone?
#8
anyone know if it is possible to hack the skype phone to use it with other SIP services?
#9
Is this really available on a 6-month contract?.

Topcashback gave me £45 for an 18 month contract which was all that was out there at the time...

I dont bother with Quidco anymore...

but when you add it to the basket it says its 18 months. and the customer service with three is shocking it all indian people and they dont help at all and dont know anything. so dont want to take this out and have to have it 18 months,

just went to order,

talked to customer service (online chat) to double check the 18 month/6 month miss-match and they said its a 18 month contract but there is no penalty for pulling out after 6 months (weird way to do things but it makes sense I guess, just not well explained on the website).

order didnt go through for me, as online you need to prove where you lived for three years and I have only been here for 1 year... guess I'll have to go to the shop.

worth chatting to the staff on the online chat (button on top right) as they offered me a promotional code for 20 pounds of accessories as soon as i said i was interested in ordering.

it was HS13030834, hopefully it will owrk for someone!

great deal, voted hot

got vouchers coming out my ears, if you do buy online - leave just before you finnish as they sent me another 20 pound voucher to my email to try to get me to complete the order.

its DH130308, hope someone finds it useful.
#14

Did you make a transcript of the online chat?

I chatted last weekend about using 3-3 mins in preference to cross net mins and a few other questions, and I just cut and paste the text into a word doc, hence you have a transcript.

good advice on saving the chat, should have thought of that myself!

Just interested to know if anyone's Quidco has tracked and at what amount on this deal? Are 3 only giving the £20 on the Skypephone or the £32.50 on the mix and match 300?

Can anyone confirm?
#19
can confirm quidco tracking at 20 pounds.

surprised at the response to this deal, I think its HOT
#20
Thanks for that - yeah I agree seems a pretty good deal, especially if you get Quidco and RAF.

Have you got the phone - just wondering if the paperwork indicates a six month contract - or is it just like the T&C's on the website?
#21
but how do you get out 12 months early????

they wont do this for free.
#22
phone arrives tomorrow (tues), am planning to sign up my girlfriend using the RAF at 30 quid each along with the 20 pound quidco and 20 pound voucher.

will let you know what is said in the paperwork, but I think its safe to say they will honor the 6 months contract as it is now plastered on their site more than ever. If you look at the plan details for the 'mix and match' 300 and 500 it clearly states at the bottom that its for 6 months when in conjuntion with the skype mobile.

also wotrh mentioning is a workaround that allows sktpe In/Out calls!! see the forums at http://www.3skypephone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=642&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=38b0a4d5baaaa054c31ff3744dc4dd8a
This solution wont suit everyone as you need a PC that is on 24/7 and connected to the net, but it 'should' work for me. will test it asap and let you know how it goes if anyone is interested.

There is also mention of 3 supporting skype in/out calls in the next 2 months or so, I find it hard to beleive however unless its a seperate charge for the service or there is some profit sharing or something.

anyway ill post more info as i get it.
#23
Are you guys sure there is no cancellation fee

"but you still wish to end
your agreement for the supply of 3 Services during the Minimum Term of your
agreement for the supply of 3 Services, you must pay us all the Charges you owe,
plus any Cancellation Fee for your Price Plan (as set out in the Price Guide) – see
section 10 of the Terms for 3 Services for details;"

The above is from the right of return pdf file....could someone confirm this. I have ordered the mobile and will double check tomorrow but can someone else check too??
#24
I missed the delivery thismorning, so i have to wait till thurs now. Will let you know what the paperwork says when I get it. I posted some more info on here last night but it isnt here... do admin check posts if they include links??

anyway one big plus for me is the ability to use skype in/out with a workaround, you need to have a pc with web access thats always on which sucks but thats not a prob for me. wont post the link again incase that was it, but search the forums at 3skypephone.
#25
I got this phone, quidco has not tracked yet though. If you pick March leaflet from any 3 store, u can see 6 months thigh there and should be enough to cancel after 6 months...
banned#26
warning ...... this is a 18month contract!

at no point u are signing for 6months

#27
warning... wild statement with no proof

i know it could be clearer, but seriously 'at no point u are signing for 6months'??! thats it? are you even on the right webpage?

If you dont trust three, good for you - but if you dont have anything useful to add why bother to post?

If you read the thread - you'll see that 3 have confirmed several times over that this is a six month contract.

Good deal
#29
I'd be more tempted by the £40 skypephone CPW are doing on PAYG then doing the "Stretch" thing on £15 topups to get the 300mins.

Yes you have to pay for the phone so its not quite a good deal but at least its easy to walk away from if you find its not suitable for your needs, and if you find yourself not using those minutes you can just Top-up as and when you actually do need it (although £10/mo is needed to get the free skype calls)

but people will get this because of quidco and RAF. ends up costing basically nothing for a 6 month contract.
#31
Has anyone received their phone yet? Did it come with any documents saying it was ok to cancel after 6 months? Also can you get this offer on the £12 Promotional Tariff as it says "6 month minimum term offer for limited period with the 3 Skypephone"?
#32
dont think its available on the 12 pound tarrif

"‡6 month minimum term contract offer available for a limited period to new approved customers registering on either Mix & match 300 or 500 with either the LG U300 or 3 Skypephone. this info is found when you click on 'plan detail' below the tarrif you ar interested in

hope that helps, im picking up my phone tomorrow so ill post whatever info comes with it.
#33
think might be an idea for someone to find out instore and see what they say. then get it via quidco.
#34
called a store and they confirmed the above 6 month term. also had the same chat with 3 sales rep on their live chat which i have saved into word
#35
got my phone, documentation states 18 month contract as expected and i rang customer services to confirm 6 month minimum term.

me - "if i cancel my contract after 6 months will i be charged a cancellation fee?"
rep - "no, you are free to leave the plan penalty free after 6 months."

I then asked if this will be know by the person I talk to when I call back in six months, and she said it will be and she was making note of our conversation on my account as we speak just to make sure.

might be worth a call to customer services once you receive the phone just to easy any concerns.

besides that the phone is basic, battery life sucks, but for that price and the skype functionality I think its a great deal.
#36
The offer is extended till 30/04/2008 now
#37
should this be expired as its still showing it online.
