I know its expensive especially as this is like the 4th or 5th they are re-releasing the same game but it is in VR now. When discussing VR i said they should have made Skyrim in VR and that would have justified in my head the cost of the PSVR headset and now they actually did it, when this news broke it made my day anyway :D, though they should come up with an upgrade strategy for people who already got the special edition, but atm it looks like everyone that wants it in VR will need to pay full price again

base.com have lowered there price now from £49.99 to £38.85 at the moment.

Are they planning to relase a VM mod for the main game or only this full version?

if thats the case even if i had VR i would not buy it, at least there should be some discount for those who already own, i know it would of cost money but they could made it DLC so people don't have to buy it again and with it being DLC make it cheaper. jsut plain and simple greed

I am disappointed as well but I don't know if it's greed it not that simple converting a massive game like this in VR and that it work correctly aswell I believe they have prob been working on this for like 2 years before they will release it in November. So yes it might be expensive but it might have cost them a lot of money to do it and as the market for the VR is not that large they will need to recoup there money somehow. Also remember this is 100 of hours of gameplay and companies charge us 20 pounds for 3 hours of game play VR if we are lucky so 100 of hours for 40 pounds is not bad if you think of it in that way.

I also believe that when playing it in VR the experience will be completely different

Thats's a little mean... and near-sighted...
Many people played it on last gen, leving a small subset of people who were willing to play this again on PS4.
They're now hoping that there's enough people left who played neither or who love having their pants pulled down to buy this version...? I bet they'll change their stance on that based on presales.

Bought this on PS3, felt compelled to buy and play it again on PS4.
Not a chance in hell I'd buy it again for
VR.
£10-15 DLC perhaps.

They should actually give news if they are going to release a new elder scrolls game instead of rehashing skyrim again and again.

There is now way at all they can justify charging the price of full game for this, I hope nobody buys it to send a message.

Partially a good deal for me as I never bothered with Skyrim... yet. But taking in consideration I've given my PS4 to sister-in-law's son that would be too expensive to bother. Will wait for Scorpio and buy VR Skyrim along with console.

I like your thought.. I'll wait 20 years for the PS4 mini VR this will be one of the preloaded games I expect.. Something to look forward to when I retire.

Scorpio or x as it is called won't support vr. Phil Spencer has said this in a few interviews.

i think Bethesda have realised how keen psvr owners are to throw money at a full triple A game like this and to be honest playing Skyrim in vr is a dream come true for a lot of people myself included!

To think of all the walls Sony put up against adding mods on Fallout 4 on the PS4 like every other system had at that time, and now Bethesda give them Skyrim VR timed exclusivity. oO

I have no idea how it will play but if it contols like RE7, only 20-30% of people will be able to stomach it for more than 5 minutes anyway...
I'm fully prepared for this to be unplayable.

Definitely want this but they are having a laugh asking for full price AGAIN. I bought this on 360, then again on PS4, **** them if they want me to buy it again for £40. This will be £20 in a sale before you know it as it is going to tank HARD due to their dodgy business practice

Money talks, and Sony have been throwing a lot around lately for timed exclusives

Control scheme could be very interesting, I've not seen or read much, but seen pics of people using dual move controllers. Which I guess is good for weapons, but they move controllers don't have analogue sticks. So curious how you move about.

It's the lack of analogue sticks is why move controllers can't be used with Farpoint

Just an update apperently base.com has reduced the price to below shopto.net price so if you wanna pre-order there it would save you one pound.

personally i like base.com more.

Also i hope voice command will work for the dragon shout that would be awesome!!!
