have just started this diet a few week ago and managed to shed a few lbs, i been looking for the cheapest price and managed to get a pack of 6 bottles on offer in wilkinsons for just £3.30, not a bad deal considering it almost £7 for the same thing in tesco's , available in chocolate and strawberry in my store (northampton)

I've been using lighter life/cambridge diet packs my girlfriend had left over but now run out. Anyone know where to get any more (without taking part in the programme)?

Real food and less of it is much better for you and not half as expensive.

I've been eating 'real food' most of the time, including things like chips and just been having Slim Fast at lunch time instead of bread and have lost 10 pounds.

Impressed with the weight loss that some people at work had on Lighter Life, I thought I'd give it a go. I wasn't going to pay £50 plus a week for their packs so i have been using Slim Fast shakes 3 times a day instead, which works out at less than a tenner a week (using the powder bought on offer), and so far (touch wood) it has been working much the same.

Nutritionally it is sort of similar, well as far as I can tell with the info available. Calorie wise, 3 shakes is about 660 calories whereas LL is 550, but you could cut the portion size from 250ml to 200ml if you want to lower the calories.

So far, in 3 weeks I have lost 22lbs (12lb, 5lb & 5lb). I am still using 250ml, but may cut down to 200ml if needed later on.

I've been eating real food, less of it and have lost 28lbs in 8 weeks - and I wasn't fat to begin with. Meals like this should be used as an emergency to replace meals, not as normal meal replacement. Quick fixes don't work, lifestyle changes do.

Sorry to preach - not really the place :)

Yes, it is a bit like a sermon. The 10 pounds I have lost have been done gradually also, over several weeks, and yes I have changed my lifestyle thank you.

I agree with you, however I'm the type that needs to see immediate results or I get disillusioned and lose heart to make the lifestyle changes.

I lost 12 in the first week of lighter life which has given me the start I need to make the longer term changes soon.
