Why cold?

Wilkinsons are the only other place where slimline ones still available but for a product you want last a few years, quality would really matter here. So Wilkinsons £5 cheaper but will it last more than a few uses?

Personally, no comparison for me for an extra fiver.

Don't just vote cold without finding a better deal

the Argos £7 tree (6ft slimline) isnt as nice, but the price difference would appeal to most in the current financial climate!

Agree, but they have had none in stock for a while now

can't seem to order at the mo
am i right in thinking that it will be available from midnight (6th) ?

also see they have a slim pre-lit led tree for £58 that is supposedly half price

does the 20% code really come off the original price?

looks like a good deal if so :gift:

The site was a bit slow yesterday.

available now

enter the code near the end, look for the box that says promotional code (top right), it is easy to miss!

My son just destroyed the base on my old crimbo tree which was about 10 years old and still looked fab, I just bought a 60% off on from focus which was reduced from £50 to £20, I didn't do much looking around but it is hard to get a decent tree for this sort of price!

Beware of the pre-lit ones, I got this one from Focus and although it was easy to put up I wasn't very impressed. The trees themselves tend to be much skinnier and wirey than the ones which aren't pre-lit and the lights themselves on most of them are not actually attached to the trees they are just a string of lights wound round individual branches, which in fairness wouldn't be impossible to do yourself. The LED lights are VERY bright in comparison to fairy lights, this is a good thing for a lot of people but it was the main reason I took my tree back... as a migraine sufferer they really gave me a headache. If I was advising someone I would say buy a nice tree which isn't pre-lit and some really nice fairy lights because you will get far more for your money and the lights on a pre-lit tree probably won't last that long anyway. The tree I ended up buying (from the same place) was not pre-lit but was a lot cheaper and a lot better quality.

No problem! My essay might have been a bit over the top but I do think they are a bit of a con, I thought it might just have been the ones in Focus but the ones in Debenhams are pretty much the same. I got one similar to this in Focus when they knocked 60% off all of them last weekend, if you can't get a House of Fraiser one might be worth a check in store although they are not slimline. Apparently Focus are in financial trouble at the moment anyway so might get a bargain!
