Can never understand why people buy cheap glasses ... your eyesight is one of the main things to look after, so buying a pair of £1 glasses is madness IMO.

If you need glasses .. invest in a proper prescription pair (there's plenty of cheap prescription lenses / frames available out there).

These can be a handy temporary solution in an emergency, obviously not intended as a replacement.

They are only reading glasses. You only put them on for a few seconds a few times a day. Well worth it for £1.

If you are thinking of buying these glasses then test them out first. Try looking at a flat surface, like a book, and you will see a dreadful "pincushion" effect, due to poorly crafted lenses. OK for a minute or 2, hopeless for anything else.

My husband wears these all the time for work. They are ideal as he's a manual worker and constantly taking them on and off, dropping them or losing them. His prescription ones he wears at home and says he can't really tell the difference in the lenses. Obviously the quality isn't there but they are only magnifiers put into a frame and if they do the job whats the problem.
they have been a pound for a long time so ok not a new deal but for someone who didn't know, they do now
