Can anyone supply images of menu/system. Review on remote control design and general lag on changing channels etc.

I would guess probably larger stores (wallmart supercentre) and Asda living stores. Might be worth giving the stores you might visit a call first to check stock (numbers on Asda website). I am guessing they're this price as the world cup has now ended.

@jak while I was tempted, decided against buying so can't help there I'm afraid.

Wasn't bad in its own right at £69 for a HD satellite receiver with a dish and lnb, let alone the bargain it now is.

More versatile than Freesat HD, with it being able to pick up free to air channels from other satellites (providing you have a motorised dish), however a disadvantage if you intended using it for the same features as Freesat is it would not support BBC iPlayer the same.

That is a very good price! I bought the Comax unit that Aldi were flogging last year and that didn't have HD and only had a 35cm dish. I use mine when out and about camping, the 35cm dish is not good enough for a signal on Astra 2D in North Brittany but a 45cm dish will let you get a signal. Not too sure about a signal in Eire on a 45cm dish, I reckon it will be a minimum 60cm dish.

Use http://www.dishpointer.com/ for help in aligning the dish to the popular satellites.

Yes to the above but only Freesat channels:

http://www.freesat.co.uk/index.php?page=whatson.Main

I use a Humax HD box best thing i ever bought, Sky a ripoff
Kids love it as there are round the clock kids channels as well

This is a great deal as even the b&q one is still over £70

At present I am a freeview watcher but have been thinking of going satellite so I can watch the HD stuff. I also want to be able to record one channel whilst watching another. This may sound a silly question to some but what kit would I need to add to this equipment to enable me to do that?
Would I be better to get Sky+HD for 12 months then cancel and keep the equipment or get a Foxsat and buy a dish??? Help please oO

Sky HD+ doesn't work without a subscription I believe. Try the forums at skyuser.co.uk I agree the foxsat is quite expensive at the moment.

Just got one in Asda Huyton (Liverpool) - still had a couple left. Model of receiver in the box is a Skyline HDSR400 - slightly different front panel to that show in the reply above.

Bought to use with a spare LNB out on our Sky dish to get HD in the bedroom - bargain at £55 for the receiver alone!
