SLX Satellite Finder - B&Q Clearance £1.00

Shows on line as £14:98 but was in the clearance bins for £1.

Installing a satellite can be tricky, especially when adjusting the positioning of the dish. By using a satellite finder, you can fine-tune the position of the dish in order to receive the best possible signal.

Worth picking one up if you're in the place. Really useful after a storm!

Good deal if you can find one!
These clearance bins are very store specific - so you will be hard pushed to find it nationwide
#3

Picked mine up in the Hereford store lunch time, 3 more were in the box. Also picked up a few 3m optical leads also £1 each.

There was quite a variety of stuff but I only popped in to use the loo :whistling:and only had a fiver in my pocket.

Haha, with analogue, I aligned my dish with a wet t-towel, next door neighbour (who installs $ky) looked at me as if I was bonkers.

i wouldnt bother using one of these for fixed dishs, in my opinion its not worth bothering. Is more usefully for motorised systems.
#16
Normal price at my b&q, price checked it too. :x

Head Office price reductions show online, thus this is a store specific managers reduction. Other stores may or may not reduce them, and if they do the reduction will vary.

 These finders ARE designed for setting up fixed dishes

motorised dishes are remotely adjustable, so do not need them

Rubbish!!
Motorised dishes do need to be set up with the help of a sat meter and once that's done the motor drives the dish from east to west,it needs to follow the arc of the clarke belt and that varies according to your location.
When i have put up fixed dishes i also use a sat meter for the strongest signal because with a digital signal it's either there or it's not, there's no signal fade in and out as there is with analogue.

I had to buy one last week from Ebay for £7.00 as my dish was out of alignment so badly I was receiving a 'No Signal'. Luckily my dish is in the garden and I was able to use one of these to find the satellite again. A bargain, but only if your dish is accessable to you.

What i mean is fixed dishes dont need to be as accurate as a motorised system, agree?

lidl were selling these for £1.99 along with their satellite dish. Has anyone seen any cheaper ones than the ones on ebay?? I'm in the need for one!
