Slysoft are offering 20% off by using the coupon 'fairuse', however when going through to the purchase screen this is actually showing as 25% off.

"Limited discount offer

Until Sunday, October 26 2008 we offer a 20% discount on all products except upgrades and t-shirts.

If you are entertaining the thought of purchasing one of our products then now is the right time to act!"

Good software, but it always makes me chuckle to think people actually pay for software so they can commit piracy! Seems a bit screwy to me!

I agree with Harlzter - and karmicly I think this should be pirated as well as they help so much other stuff get stolen - Of course Piracy is a VERY bad thing ;) (well the jumping on other ppls boats version is anyway)

It is mate:pirate::pirate: and good software it is too;-) (well anydvd, clonedvd, clonecd and virtual clonedrive are, ive not trodden the HD-DVD route yet!)

How come a company that devotes itself to cracking code cant protect its own? What happened to set a thief to catch a thief

I believe that once you have paid for a copyrighted material you should be able to make backup copies, and this is the reason why I would never buy any copyprotected DVDs (I only spend money for region free and non-copyprotected media). But you can download software in the public domain for free which does all the copying you want inclusive protected media, if that's what you are into.

hearing a lot of twaddle on here to be honest. there are more than enough legit uses of their products. If it wasn't for them, the true aholes (RIAA) would be treating folk who BUY a legal copy of something like criminal.

What legit uses are they then? Contrary to popular belief its still illegal to even backup your own discs, even converting your cd's to mp3 is a grey area:thumbsup:
In reality a lot of us do it still. no one batted an eyelid in the 80's with taping from the radio or even copying Spectrum games on the old tape to tape:-D

What other computers used tapes? I remember using a tape recorder to play a game on TV using these weird joysticks. Was really fun, tank either side of the screen firing at each other.

i class backing up for person usage legit, as do most right thinking people :)

piracy it isnt. Anyway, slysoft should be thanked for their work in breaking the blu ray encryption that treated all legal purchases like criminals.

I find all this quite amusing, because AnyDVD doesn't actually copy, it just removes copy protection from DVD's. It in itself doesn't copy dvds, allows ripping and removing protection, yes, allows removal of annoying adverts when you reauthor a dvd. It also allows region protected DVD ROM drives to circumvent the regional lockout, so it has many uses.

If anything, you should all be complaining about CloneCD instead of AnyDVD if piracy is your concern.

I can't see a problem with copying something you already own for your own use. I think the law still states that it's illegal to copy anything off the television. But for years VCR's ans DVD players have been made with recording software. It's ridiculas!
I always found DVD X COPY PLATINUM the best for all dvd backups. Gets through all copy protection, never had a problem with it. :whistling:

I emailed the bbc about this once, they allow you to record programs to watch up to a week later. But once watched it must be erased.

AnyDVD was offloaded from Elby for legal reasons, and they operate fro Antigua to escape the law of the USA! From their web site -
"Is Slysoft a new company from Elby?

No. We're a software company on the beautiful island Antigua. We have our own management and software development team. We purchased software from Elaborate Bytes and continue the development. Our relationship to Elby is purely business-based."

This software works well .Say no more;-) Voted Hot

I have bought software like this online before. Often they will sell it at a lower cost at the end of the trial period of 21 days .

Yeah a bit like "guns don't kill people bullets do" Not having a go at anyone just feel like being the devils advocate here.
