yeah some of it is ok, i tend to try and buy the best i can afford but with the credit crunch everyone is thinking of ways to cut back a little. I bought smart price chicken the other day and i still havent stopped feeling guilty about the chooks 32days of living hell.

I know, it is harsh, but we are all feeling it! The money just isn't going as far nowadays! :x

Haven't tried this one but I did try the Value ones from Tescos a while back at about the same price as this.. tasted much the same as one of those curry flavoured pot noodles or pot rice things. It had lots of fruit in it too.. sultanas and such like.. yuck.. tried it.. wont bother again..
#9
I am quite sure this was posted before and everyone who bought it said it tasted like sh*t
#10
I've voted it cold because I tried it once and it gave me the two bob bits.

I'm voting hot for no other reason than to try and counter the people voting cold for no reason.

Good Find!
#12
Exactly!! If you are gona vote somthing cold, at least have the decency to let the rest of us know why!!! :x

Seems to be happening an awful lot lately!! Not on!!! :x
#13
I mentioned the same thing about 'cold voters' on someone elses post a few days back, it's happening too often as is the dweebs who 'expire' something early for the same reason probably - this is supposed to be a mutual support group but it seems that the insecure ****holes on here vote cold or expire something just to make themselves feel important.
Cant the admin on here make it so that
if you vote cold you *have* to leave a comment why
if you expire then at the very least you are identified as the person who did so?
incidentally - good find, not into curry myself but for 5p? it has to be a bargain. voted hot - and rep added.

mmm...I love sultanas and fruity bits though! will have to try this one for 5p what a bargain

You dont have to explain your hot and colds, they are obvious sometimes! Cheap food is a disaster for the planet, this is plop in a jar.
#16
we always keep a jar or 2 of this in, it is perfect for the late night c sauce and chips cravings.
#17
I voted hot, great for pouring over the groom-to-be on stag weekends
#18
my mum buys this all time, not cos they cant afford better but cos she likes it. i think she adds some of own spices to make it spicier for her. i dont buy curry sauce as not very healthy for kids make own, but she reccomends t.
#19
worth 5p for just the jar itself..

Its really nice x
#21
my local asda been selling this for 6p for a while and it is ok
#22
I think people not only vote cold because its total plop, but they have to take a risk that they go to asda and hope that they too get the reduced price at the checkout. Some people are against voting misprices/clerical errors hot because many people get burned when they get to the checkout.

In truth this is not a deal it's an error.

If anyone else is interested, Morrison's do a jar of curry sauce which is 5p all the time, with no risk of being charged extra when you get to the till.

Additionally, it's actually quite nice. Tastes somewhere between Chinese curry and Indian curry, but pretty decent on chicken, or just a cheap addition to some chips.

Voted hot on this one anyway, to counter those Mummy's boys who vote cold on something without giving it a try themselves.
#24
Cold because Morisson's Value curry sauce has always been 5p, so why Asda's apparently charging 27p I don't know.

Also, this tastes like an Indian feral cat's sh*t.
#25
Proper price in my local asda (ALLOA) is 5p and has been for 6 months so shouldn't get charged 27p anywhere!! And the stuff tastes alright....bought 2 jars when i first saw it. Used 1 and the others still in cupboard so never been starving enough again yet!
#26
:p i would agree the morrisons one is quite decent, bit like chip shop curry.
#27
voted hot, good find
#28
Don't even try and make a curry out of this, it'll be absolutely disgusting.

It's not bad if you just throw it over some chips, that's all it is good for really.
#29
Tried it when it was 20 something pence why spend good money on chicken to ruin it with the sauce?
#30
If you can only spend 5p on curry sauce you may wish to consider getting a better paid job!
#31
Probably taste vile, but for 5p it's better than nothing.

Aren't you an ignorant tw*t then.....

Do you really think everyone has the opportunity to get a better paid job. I'm pretty well off, but even I can understand how some people can only afford the bare minimum to survive.
#33
Wait, we have to vote hot on everything now and if we don't we have to write an essay explaining why we didn't? When did this rule come in?

...

Oh what's that? It never did? Yeah thanks, I'll vote cold if I want and you can't do anything about it. I'm voting this cold solely because of your whining.
#34
Tried this, it tastes like Uncle Bens curry sauce.
