Manufacturer's Description
Push Baby around on this fabulous 3-in-1 Smart Trike + in full metal construction. There are lots of great safety features built into this lovely outdoor toy. Strap Baby into the back support seat with safety bars to stop baby falling off. The canopy overhead will shelter Baby and can also be detached. This tricycle also features a parent handle which steers the front wheel, for you to keep control of Baby while they are on the move. The handle can be removed when you feel your child no longer needs it. The great thing about the Smart Trike is that is grows with your child . As Baby gets older and more confident you can remove the high-backed seat and the overhead canopy too. This 3-in-1 trike features footrests which can be folded up. These are ideal for your youngster to place their feet on while you are pushing them along--otherwise simply fold them away for your child to take control of the non slip pedals. Choose to use gears or free wheel for ease. The trike even includes a handy bucket on the back--great for a drink or a teddy to join the child on their journeys around the garden or park. 3-in-1 Smart Trike + Pink is a wonderful way to encourage exercise and outdoor play.

Does anyone have any real world experience of these?

Looking for one for my son but I want to know it's a good one and not just the cheapest.

I have the Smart Trike Deluxe that I bought for my son in the summer. It's the next model up from the Smart Trike Plus, but the only extra things you get are a cup holder, padding over the seat area, toy electronic phone & mini bag to go over the handles, but you tend to pay an extra £20 minimum. If I had my time again I would get the Smart Trike Plus, as my son hasn't really gained anything from the extras. This post says the RRP is £95, but most companies last summer weren't selling them for more than the £55 mark, so not sure if this is the best deal around ATM.

I bought the pink one of these for my daughters 1st birthday, at the time I paid just over £65 del for it from mothercare, it is the best thing I have ever bought her, since buying it we have used it all the time, she is now 15 mths old, she goes in it every time we go shopping, she prefers this to going in her buggy, I am so impressed with it that I shall be buying my 4 mth old daughter a pink one for her 1st birthday too. This is the cheapest price I have seen except for 2nd hand, they appear to have an excellent resale value too.
Excellent, thanks very much.
Not sure about £95 for the rrp. They sell full price at £65 in Mothercare & were down to £41.79 at one point before xmas. I went for the Little Tikes one in the end. It seems sturdier & easier to steer than this one. I got it for just £30 in Asda if you can still find any branches with stock left. Otherwise it retails at £59.99 in E.L.C. & Toys R Us. You can try out the smart trike in most Mothercare stores as they usually have a display version on the shop floor. My 16 month old son loves his Little Tikes one. The metal parent handle as opposed to the plastic one, the colours (red & blue), the much sturdier sun canopy, plus the cupholder & large basket sold it to me in the end.

We have both a Smart trike plus and a Little Tikes trike and for me I find the little tikes one steers better.

Good price for this though :)
What Age can you actually use this from?

I have photos of my daughter using hers quite happily just before she turned 10 months

My daughter had a go in a borrowed one from around 8mths, but she is very tall for her age, well over the 100% centile, it said 10 mths on the box
