SMC's enterprise class networking equipment is brilliant. I don't like their consumer grade goods too much so.

The lifetime warranty and price make this purchase a no brainer, I would say.

And even if you later decide that you don't want to keep it, CEX will give you £29 cash/£37 as a voucher for it. In fact you may want to buy the bundle, keep the Barricade router and sell the USB stick to CEX to further reduce the cost of the router.

I have had this for a year now and it is excellent. Much better than D-Link products I used previously.

Good price, I wanted to update my wireless G for a while now but this has finally got me to part with the cash.

im considering a different router, i have the belkin n1 but it seems it cannot produce a signal 30 ft from it to my garden where as my g plus mimo worked flawless? i upgraded for the better steaming purposes but im disappointed on the range, would this be any better? and reviews? or has any one got a better alternative.

It's very difficult to say. I suggest to buy a set and try it out, you can't really loose any money here.
I do however seriously doubt that the Barricade router will be any better than your Belkin box, since it is a low budget model.

any idea if I could connect one of my ethernet ports from my current G wireless ADSL modem router into this N wireless router. Would this work?

Yes, turn the DHCP server of the SMC Barricade off and connect one of it's 4 LAN ports to the back of your old router. You may also have to change the IP address of one of the routers (only if they both happen to use the same IP).

You want to read this guide: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/realworld/257011/mending-the-wireless

One of the best home wireless routers on the market will be the soon to be launched
See a review here: http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/content/view/30925/96/ I am getting it soon as it comes out!

Fantastic price for a wireless N router. Shame it's out of stock though. Also makes it a great deal because it has WDS meaning you can extend your wireless range into 'dead' areas in your home.

Not very usefull as 90% of us only can get 3 - 6 mb from broadband company, it won't make any different to your speed.
