Smoothies for £1.00/litre

Just went to Tesco in Covent Garden, who seem to have a mad price promotion on their own brand smoothies until 19/04/2008.

One smoothie costs £2.07, two cost £2. Go figure.

They must have surplus stock.

As I have been an HDUK beneficiary for a while, I thought I would share this deal.

Update: Apparently this is also available online!

it was buy one get one free mate and they were £2.99 each so not quite as good as 2 for 2 pound lol

however they are save a third now so its £2 for one

I think Sainsbury's were doing £2.99 'buy one get one free' for Tropicana Smoothies. But today it becomes reduced by 1/3, so £1.99 each.

edit: Oh! I'm too slow!

Hmm, I was so nearly right, brought them on Monday in Sainsbury and couldn't be sure without a receipt on me.

The only price i do remember whilst scouring for cheap easter egg, were Heart shaped box of 12 x Ferrero Rocho for £1.25, down from £5.00.

I find the Tropicana Smoothies are alot more thicker and have more flavour than the Innocent ones myself.

Somerfields do 2 for £2.50, and they're pretty nice.

I'll pop in to tescos on the way home tonight to pick up a couple of these and try them out.

'brought' -> 'bought'.

'alot more thicker' -> 'a lot thicker' or 'a lot more thick'.

Voted hot.

Not so rubbish if you do the math.

;P

Tropicana is horrible, pasturised, fake tasting rubbish, the others are exactly as good as each other except innocent is twice the price and has more varieties.
#21
is tescos own smoothie all that healthy though? i'm not sure i'd trust any other brand than the expensive ones

I've become wary of these kind of drinks now too. Although I don't buy smoothies very often, I do drink a LOT of fresh orange juice, and for the past few months (since I realised the difference) I've made sure to buy the '100% pure orange juice' (from Tesco) rather than the normal 'Pure orange juice' or however they put it... the 100% bit makes a lot of difference, as the others are made from concentrate rather than pure.

I did however buy some of these smoothies this evening (noticed the yellow label in Tesco) and they're very tasty... I'd almost go as far as to say they're as good as the Innocent ones, but I haven't checked the ingredients yet... they might have put a sofa in there, you never know :)
