Excellent price as this is (next cheapest that I can find) £30.99 at HMV and £59.69 at Amazon

Presaging some of the more popular post-millennial indie acts, Sneaker Pimps were blending techno beats, power chords, and pretty female vocals as far back as their critically acclaimed 1996 debut, BECOMING X, which spawned the club hit "6 Underground". Despite the success of that winning combination, Kelli Dayton's vocal chores were taken up by guitarist Chris Corner on the '99 follow-up, and the band pursued a grittier, darker vibe. Another album three years later failed to impress critics or audiences, but the group has soldiered on, recording and performing together and separately, exploring that dizzying place where electronica meets rock & roll.

I don't mind them but 18 CD's is pushing it a bit.
Becoming X = Brilliant.

Everything After = Meh.

Too many crap mixes of 6 Underground in there too.
Shame - I was really hoping to like this. Good Price tho.

Twenty different versions of the same song :? Hmmm...
awful......just awful
Kelli Dayton now sings under Kelli Ali and has a lovely voice:thumbsup:
I wouldn't have thought that there were enough Sneaker Pimp fans to justify releasing this as they weren't exactly massively popular even at their peak. I guess the record company has a big advance it stills need to recoup... :whistling:

I concur with all of that.
I concur with all of that.

And in the interests of balance I'd say that as much as I like the 'Becoming X', the second album 'Splinter' really does it for me

But I've got to agree that all the remixes are a complete waste of time.
They were named after some guys who worked for the BeastieBoys who fetched trainers for them ,SIH ....Van Helden mix of Spin, spin sugar is good---didnt CJ Bolland do a good mix of them as well?
Twenty versions of Six Underground!!
They got rid of the female singer after the first album because they thought they sounded like portishead,it was all downhill after that dumb decision and they paid for it serves them right.
awful......just awful

Boards - rule.

Sneaker Pimps - not so much.
never heard of them
So tell me, is Ignorance bliss?
It sure is Labour
