You can probably buy them in some supermarkets but they are available directly from Sodastream http://www.sodastream.co.uk/gbretail/Home.asp

This model is £59.98 from SodaStream http://www.sodastream.co.uk/gbretail/category.asp?catalog_name=Sodastream&category_name=Drinksmakers&Page=1 so I reckon £9.99 is quite a bargain?

Don't you also have to buy the gas cylinders ? :whistling:

Don't be fooled, the current day Sodastream does flavoured waters and the like, the days of Vimto, Irn-Bru and Canada Dry ginger are long gone!

Get busy with the fizzy

I miss my old SodaStream that we bought in a carboot sale for 50p.
Experimentation was always the best part. Like putting the concentrate in before carbonating and seeing what happens.

If you drink sparkling water this makes an excellent and cheap substitute - we've used ours like this for years. Filling the bottles with filtered water saves a fortune and avoids lugging it back from the shops.

Apart from the sodastream website and argos, which are out of stock, I cant find anywhere that stocks the drink concentrates, anyone know of any other stockists?

Even then it wasn't quite as good as the bottled stuff despite the names on the labels.

I remember chucking mine out, including a wrapped unopened gas cylinder but it is so long ago I am not sure how far back in time that it actually was! Certainly pre-1991 when I moved house

I tend to make squash with fizzy water which is why I'm thinking about this. Where do you get the cylinders from though, and how much do they cost?

It's a fair assumption.

I would think the majority of deals will be dead in more like 4 days, if they are much good, and not just someone clearing junk out. Near on 4 months is just going to be unlikely!

I grew up with a soda stream and I remember they made vimto and iron brew.... It was like having your own fizzy drink store at home... probably not very healthy lol. I have one now and the flavours are quite nice, I got it about 3 years ago, and when I called Soda Stream to find out where I could buy the brand named flavours I must have got through to one of the officials of Soda Stream, cos he told me that Soda Stream had been nearly faded out, but was going to be relaunched and going to become the next big thing again because of the impact of global warming... soda streams save energy becasue they do not use electric, and you just wash out the bottles and reuse them so its good for the environment. Anyway the point I was getting to was... the man I spoke to told me that they were in conversations with the big brand names drinks companies swepes i think, cant be arsed to spell it properly, and soon there should be the old flavours back!

good bye
